Introduction – “The Environmental Movement is growing stronger.” Ask questions to get answers. “When do we fight?” This book is about environmental strategy, and strategy is a ‘martial discipline’. The objective of militant strategy in conflict is PEACE. The individual eco-warrior should strive to maintain various disciplines in harmony with Nature; sometimes by using modern technology and social media.
5 Path Foundation Strategy – Nature Elements – Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Quest (all have their own essential life meaning)
1 Earth – shallow or deep, no answers are truly fixed, firm, or final
2 Water – flows, quenches, adapts, change is a constant
3 Fire – fighting, combat, confrontation, train to attack
4 Wind – air we breathe, follow directions our life takes us, learn from the past, live in the present, live for the future
5 Quest – Vision World, this meaning of life is the experience of the journey (more than start or finish), live in ‘the now’ present by cultivating a spiritual nature that respects and combines the other four elements, because this is ‘with Nature’.
Mother Earth is the foundation: truth is relative, there are many realities, hold to your own way, evolve, and respect others
Bend like the Willow, Flow like Water, Focus but also stop to look around; be aware
Learn to appreciate some type of discipline. Realize the realities, patterns, and cycles of Nature: birth, life, death
6 Eco-Warrior Strategic Arts: Healing, Communication, Art, Infiltration, Activism, Spirituality
1 Healing – healers restore biological organisms or eco-systems
2 Communication – students and teachers ask and answer questions socially
3 Art – artists use imagination and creativity to bridge social gaps and create environmental architecture that involves all of the senses
4 Infiltration – infiltrators work within the corrupt system to affect changes best fitting for civilization and Nature
5 Activism – catalysts provoke and confront opponents of Nature, boldly, publically
6 Spirituality – shamans connect spirit and matter, intuition, empathy, magic, ritual, spells, prayers
4 Eco-Warrior Selfless Oaths
1 Respect ‘The Way’ of Eco-Warrior Elemental Arts
2 Serve Mother Earth
3 Respect the Children of the Earth
4 Evolve beyond personal ambition, for the greater good of Nature
Success or failure is less important than ‘seeing things through’ and following ‘The Way of the Eco-Warrior’.
Spiritual Foundation for Eco-Warriors – “An Eco-Warrior’s life is an eternal quest for wisdom, harmony, and understanding.” However cynicism results from not accepting that complete peace, knowledge, or success is not possible in reality during life. Eco-Warriors are scholars (using past knowledge), activists (using present actions), and dreamers (using future wisdom). Direct your passions, and manage your needs, addictions, thoughts, and actions. Take responsibility for your own life, and how you affect other beings, and realize your place in the World as much as possible.
Life Continuum – “Time flows like blood, through the veins of reality.” Life is energy, and energy cannot be created or destroyed, only harnessed, transferred, or dissipated. All Life, the Earth, and the Universe are inter-connected; objects and beings change into each-other over time, and are in many ways part of one-another. Anthropo-centric conventional life-styles lead to ecological disorders, value quantity over quality, and are a temporary fad that will self-destruct. Bio-centric people are interested in past ancestors, all present life, and the future of all those concerns.
Eco-Warrior Legal Code
Media Laws – media is corrupt, visuals are key, speak only to the point, be amiable, ask questions, seek answers
Ecology Laws – Interdependence, Biological Diversity, Finite Resources, Stewardship, Sacredness of Life
Eco-Guerrilla Activist Laws (1-10): Never get caught. Be silent. Leave no trace. Know a friend for 7 years, before you trust them as a partner. Train.
Preparations, Confrontation, Fighting without Fighting, Tactics, Earthforce, Stealth & Unpredictability, Maneuvering, Center Maintenance, Field Confrontation, Terrain & Situation, 9 Situations, Fire Attack, Intelligence Agents
Weapons of the Eco-Warrior – pen, sword, camera, charisma, and courage (the will to challenge)
Good Leader Types – Humanist, Honorable, Courteous, Clever, Responsible
Good Follower Types – Generous, Loyal, Respectful, Swift, Trustworthy
Lakota saying “Hoka hey” (it is a good day to die)
Live most days, as though they were your last; this will help prepare for victory and death. Do not burden your soul with unfinished business. Be loving and at peace as often as possible. The opinion of loved ones should matter the most, make sure you love those who deserve it. Fight despite fear. Minimize attacks, to save strength; use reconnaissance strategy, hit-and-run, spiking, monkey-wrenching; raids should have a strong leader. It is better to fight for what you want using politics, espionage, and other passive tactics, to win a victory before ever needing violence. Know when to fight, and when not to fight. Know yourself, and your enemy. Respect karma and resolve problems.
Ronald Reagan Interrogation Response Strategy: “I cannot remember anything about what you are asking. I have no recollection, I cannot recall. I was not aware of any wrong-doing.” If caught, use intentional and selective Amnesia.
