Do you have a loved one addicted to corporate media?

There is independent help available. [ SCODcast Audio Recording ]

This article is based on personal left-wing beliefs, supported by recent independent media Youtube channels. My primary premise for choosing channels that reflect my ethics are because it was impossible to find main-stream media support for the popular peace, civil rights, or environmental movements. Now that they are available, and even PBS and NPR are exposing their corporate bias, we have more options to get news and journalism and opinions which are better alternatives. My favorite daily ‘liberal’ media outlets are: Democracy Now!, Democracy At Work, The Ring of Fire, Kyle Kulinski, Humanist Report, Jimmy Dore, Kim Iverson, Redacted Tonight, The Real News, Joe Rogan, the Grayzone, Status Coup, and TYT (The Young Turks). TYT is one of the most influential networks, because they have funded many associates due to strong bold leadership from founder Cenk Uygur; who has also co-created ‘Justice Democrats’ (AOC and ‘The Squad’) and ‘Wolf Pack’ (get money out of politics). Some corporate shows (hosted by progressive liberal comedians like Cavett, Stewart, and Colbert) were able to entertain by pushing boundary issues in the name of getting laughs.

MSNBC, CNN, and other main-stream neo-liberal channels (stations) and newspapers are as saturated as Fox News by corporate propaganda at this point with their war on Bernie Sanders. They have always been centrist leaning for corporate wars, pollution, health-care, but on civil rights at least they were better than Fox; however now they are calling an anti-fascist leader a Nazi, which is obviously absurd. They are blatantly attacking the peace and environmental movements by speaking against our strongest leader. It is sad there is no main-stream outlet for a better future except for Bernie Sanders; but Sanders does represent the totality of liberal alternative visions for a stronger democracy and humanist America. Seeing them react so negatively when a civil rights leader becomes popular, exposes how serious they were about undermining leaders like Sanders from emerging in the first place. As Malcom-X said “The chickens have come home to roost.”

The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) central bank said (‘The Green Swan’ paper) that climate-related events could be the source of the next financial crisis. The increased frequency and intensity of extreme weather events could trigger non-linear and irreversible financial losses. In turn, the immediate and system-wide transition required to fight climate change could have far-reaching effects potentially affecting every single agent in the economy and every single asset price.

At Davos ‘Wall Street’ banks discussed how climate change alters the conversation around what economic growth can be, and how ‘policy-makers’ should pursue this end. “Debt, inequality and environmental damage are major issues for growth sustainability,” said economists at Deutsche Bank in a note last week. “However, one could argue that the first two are cyclical, whereas the third is potentially structural.” Deutsche Bank adds that, “The problem for the environmental lobby is that a world without economic growth may create a damaging backlash against such climate policies. Nevertheless, the problem with the status quo is that the irreversible damage to our planet will increase.”

Corporate media has been brain-washing most people to think the opposite of the populist reality however, and may help people to continue voting against their own interests for fake candidates that are always the lesser of two evils, rather than a legitimate candidate. It is worth noting that recently in elections their attempts backfire, and voters react by doing the opposite of what corporations want (2016 general and 2020 DNC Primary). The corporate DNC (Democrat Party National Committee) does not even need our over-paid top secret agencies to intervene for the establishment, because they steal the elections for corporations openly and legally in public, and with the help of commercial conditioning they even sway the popular vote. As a reminder to anyone who wants evidence of DNC rigging please reference the 2016 fallout: Jordan Chariton vs Donna Brazile, WV and MI voters chose Bernie unanimously and then voted for Trump, the Hillary Clinton email and DNC server scandal that revealed the rigging, and the DNC lawsuit where they basically stated on record “The DNC is allowed to make decisions that break its own rules, and we will do back-room deals anytime we want for the sake of our rich corporate donors”.

Corporate centrists argue “no reason to try things that will be defeated by republicans, because conservatives have all the power”, but the Obama message of “Yes we can!” is what leads and wins for populist causes (even though his policies were 1980s style republican according to Obama himself). Progress means pushing social boundaries, thus the name “progressive”. So it will be interesting to see how those the conservative corporate democrats (who think they are more practical) behave the more that Bernie wins. Is there a tipping point for many of them with money or social influence, if they have no personal integrity? How much corporate media addicts sell out to corporate interests is an interesting study. I think there is enough support for popular left ideas now to take over the DNC and replace the leaders, and those behind the times will either go to the republicans, as that party reforms after Trump, or get behind the civil rights movements our platform claims. The NEW GREEN DEAL is now a mainstream liberal political policy for implementation; if only corporate power can be checked.

There are a few things we can do to help those loved ones who cannot make the change for themselves, from corporate to independent parties or grassroots collective networks. The first thing is to play alternative forms of media for them; nice recordings of music they like, movies without commercials (Netflix), games, or local or online social groups. Next convince them to cancel their subscription to commercial cable TV and newspapers, at least for a trial period. Show them it is ok to let go of one habit, and replace it with a less destructive and more educational outlet. Finally show them you care by rewarding their cooperation with affection and gifts. Tell them over and over that they are not alone, and you love them.

BERNIE BEATS TRUMP!

Posted in Commercial Corporations, Ethics & Morals, news, Politics, SCOD Online School, Sustainability, Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , on February 18, 2020 by Drogo

The reasons why Bernie is the only viable candidate to beat Trump, are the reasons why corporations hate Bernie the most.

Bernie Sanders beats Trump (if Bernie were allowed to run by the DNC and the electoral college and supreme courts did not over-ride popular votes). This thesis statement is based on my ‘SCOD Politics 101’ class I have been teaching for free by sharing my research work since 2016. When Trump won I seriously began studying political-economic history and theory. So to explain my statement to those who have not been attending class because they have been busy with work and watching corporate media, I will discuss my class content and grading policy briefly.

Recent years have been a class on politics 101 for in depth reporting on the DNC by youtube progressive journalists (because the corporate media never did it). I do not mind trying to teach it as a free scod course, because it is exciting to me that more information is available, despite the New Red Scare. If you still believe that the DNC cares about beating Trump with a candidate who will reduce war, pollution, and corruption you are not paying attention and comments that support corporate candidates will get an F. Corporate candidates who are like Trump in greed but are more polite fail, because they cannot beat Trump and offer no significant change. Would most people be a better president than Trump? Yes, but the DNC is paid about the same as republicans by corporations to not resist substantially, because they are complicit with war crimes and national and planetary theft. I was giving out D’s for those not caught up about the depth of DNC corruption for the last decade, but now those who turn in late papers with no references to corporate rigging will get Fs. Does this mean that we need to reform our 2-party system with mass popular movements to change the power structures? Yes, voting for the lesser of 2 evils has almost no effect on Climate Change, pollution, corruption, or wars. Corporations prefer Trump over every other candidate, and most importantly Bernie Sanders (who happens to be the only one who can beat Trump if allowed to run against him, and if the popular vote was allowed to count). Our secret agencies and military intelligence have a much larger budget and more control over our system than Russia (see New Red Scare).

Our Pentagon is aware that Climate Change is real and they include it in their operational priorities. However they will continue to wage endless war for corporations who fund them. This is one of the main problems of our current global empire, with bases in other countries and a larger budget than all of them combined. To get a good grade in ‘SCOD Politics 101’, one needs to directly address the existential corporate threats to democracy, our environment, and the history of civilization with substantial critique. Apathetic or defensive apologies for corporate corruption no longer allow for a passing grade in the basics of American politics, because it is not objective or scholarly to deny planetary science regarding our environment. For those attending and doing their own homework too, thank you and keep up the good work!!

PBS & NPR Corporate Funding

Corporate Propaganda Influence on ‘PUBLIC’ Broadcasting

PBS is routinely threatened with significant budget cuts by Republican U.S. Congress attacks. Republicans oppose government public funding for broadcasting in favor of capitalist commercial corporate crony ownership over content. The right-wing war against journalism and documentaries labels them as ‘left-wing’ is because of their fear of public opinion. Most people (see the history of unions) have concerns that go against the grain of corporate power and pollution, so it is in corporate ownership’s interest to reduce democracy in favor of plutocracy. Environmental and peace programs threaten corporate profits, and both corporate-run neo-lib-con parties of our 2-party system will not tolerate sharing their national wealth hoarding in favor of resource desecration. [See Climate Change & Current Extinction Rate

Some members of PBS self-audit and comment on the problem of increasing corporate influence. PBS ombudsman Michael Getler reported “on what seems to be ethical compromises in funding arrangements, and lack of real transparency for viewers caused, in part, by the complicated funding demands needed to support public broadcasting.”

The LA Times reported on the billionaire John D. Arnold production of ‘Pension Peril’, which blamed pensions for California state economic losses. “In another such case, a PBS unit that funded independent documentaries canceled a film about the Koch Brothers last year, fearing the reaction of one of its major donors, David Koch. That underscores the cynicism of the steady withdrawal of public funding from PBS since the Reagan administration. It’s another example of the old story of big government getting off the horse, so big business and the wealthy can saddle up.”

Salon article headlines by David Sirota read “When did PBS become the Plutocratic Broadcasting Service? Proof our public media is doomed: Former Enron trader John Arnold is using the network to wage his war on pensions. Our most prominent public media outlets are becoming instruments for special interests to launder their ideological agenda through a seemingly objective brand. Starved for public resources, these outlets are increasingly trying to get their programming funded with money from corporations and wealthy political activists – and that kind of cash comes with ideological expectations. It doesn’t have to be this way. To preserve some modicum of independent journalism, Congress could simply provide the same amount of resources for public media as other advanced democracies do. Congress could then bar PBS from accepting corporate and special interest funding.”

According to Wikipedia – The following corporations have funded PBS programs: Exxon Mobil; Liberty Mutual ; Suburu ; Canon Inc.; Chevron ; Bank of America Corp.; Intel ; Monsanto ; Toyota ; Merrill Lynch ; General Motors Corporation (GM); Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad; GlaxoSmithKline ; British Petroleum (BP); Merck ; Pfizer Inc; Siemens AG; Dow Chemical Company; McDonald’s ; Columbia Forest Products…

A Truth-Out article titled ‘The Corporate Dictatorship of PBS and NPR’ reads, “On November 7, 1967, President Lyndon B. Johnson signed into law the Public Broadcasting Act. The act set up public broadcasting in the United States, by establishing the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which led to the creation of the Public Broadcasting Service, or PBS, and National Public Radio.”

The Public Broadcasting Act of 1967 states – “It is in the public interest to encourage the growth and development of public radio and television broadcasting, including the use of such media for instructional, educational, and cultural purposes… it is necessary and appropriate for the Federal Government to complement, assist, and support a national policy that will most effectively make public telecommunications services available to all citizens of the United States.”

The original purpose even as stated by President Johnson was that ‘we the people’ declare that we want more than just material wealth; we want spiritual, ethical, or environmental quality of life. Reaganomic’s ‘trickle-down’ ideology slashed funding accountability since the 1980’s political deregulations for corporate oligarchy. Public broadcasting institutions now rely more and more on corporate and billionaire cash to operate, which is why PBS and NPR now filter what they play on their airwaves, so that they don’t anger their wealthy backers.

“David Koch has donated upwards of $23 million to public television. And when you donate $23 million dollars to public television, you get more than just a tote bag or a coffee mug – you get to dictate the on-air programming.” – Jane Mayer of the New Yorker

Regarding the PBS & NPR budget diagrams below, i doubt the overall budgets reflect the funding by corporations TO MAKE all the programs. They may only show the purchasing and distribution funding within PBS and NPR, not the corporate manufacturing money invested into the products they then purchase and distribute. Also “Individuals” may include plutocrats who donate large sums on behalf of their companies, as there is no evidence of a cap on individual member donations.

Corporate Neo-Fascist Politics

Posted in Military, news, Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on October 26, 2019 by Drogo

Neo-liberals and Neo-conservatives leaders are basically Neo-fascists by default; using corporations to control government and deny civil rights and promote war. Voters have been tricked to vote for the 2-party neo-fascist system, just as they were in Germany before WW2, so shaming Trump or Hillary voters is not useful in the reconditioning process. Post WW2 Germany is an example of how voter shaming can back-fire. The fall of the Berlin Wall was popular because of how punishing people for bad leaders can be, without giving them reasons to change ideology.

Fascism does not believe in real democracy, and in manifestos it has claimed this is because democracy never works. Neo-fascism differs from conventional Fascism because it hides behind political-correctness (polite manners), and avoids using bold terms like racism or ‘Nazi’. Neo-fascists instead prefer slogans like ‘New World Order’, ‘Mission Accomplished’, and ‘Yes We Can!’. Neo-fascists believe nothing should stand in the way of Capitalist business, not even problems of peace or pollution.

Currently peace and environmental activists are being attacked by the Hillary DNC, who accuses them of being treasonous foreign agents of Russia. The New Red Scare is being used by Neo-liberals to attack both Trump (who functions as a Neo-conservative, despite his fake populist platitudes) and far-left leaders. This tactic will totally break the voter base for the DNC, by severing the far-left completely from ever voting for their candidates again; because they would rather have Trump win again (because he is pro-business), if they cannot get their candidates to win (Hillary & Biden recently).

The scary part of all this is that their Neo-fascist propaganda has worked, for two reasons. One reason is because most voters do not have time to actually study political claims. The other reason is that DNC party-line voters believe that the lesser of two evils is better, and that Hillary would not have done as many bad things as Trump is doing. There is much truth to that claim that Trump is a piece of shit, and should never have been made president. The bizarre fact that Trump was made president by the electoral college (Hillary won the popular vote), has made some of us wonder what is really going on. The Neo-liberal DNC wants us to believe we should blame Jill Stein, and anyone that would want to run as a third-party candidate (like Nader or Perot were blamed before). So their propaganda against peace and environmental activist leaders has landed, because it is assumed that of the choice between Trump and Hillary, one of them is better. Neo-fascists do not want us thinking that both elite candidates of the 2-party system are committing crimes against humanity and our US Constitution, because then their gig is up. They would rather one of the two win, or none at all.

Their ‘One Thousand Points of Light’ (Bush Sr.) CIA strategy is having a constant war of terror, to never allow real democracy of direct vote to have any power. They will not even allow us to have ranked-choice voting in our Republic. The New Red Scare continues, which ironically fuels our state communist MIC (Military Industrial Complex) with our taxes.

If Biden (or another DNC pick) wins, the Hillary DNC will increase attacks on us using the New Red Scare, which could lead to more Congressional Hearings and prison for Sanders, Tulsi, and Stein voters (who are all branded as either Socialist or Russian by the Neo-fascists). Nationalist corporate fascists are scared that voters might want real democracy. Ecological development and peaceful negotiations are more patriotic than selling out to big business to pollute and bomb the planet; do not let them fool us again! Bernie Sanders may come the closest to uniting the entire Left with the Centrist WORKING CLASS Right (blue collar, not white collar), on issues like Health Care and Worker Rights (Jobs).

Capitalist Fascism

Capitalist Fascism Essay  – [ SCOD Audio Recording ]

Fascism according to the founders of it, was corporate rule of government in the name of nationalism and political theories, to benefit the leaders of corporations (big bosses) who are the rightful plutocrats. Fascism could associate itself with other economic theories besides Capitalism, but true fascism worships individual business success of the few to represent the many. Monopolies can be replaced, but should never be punished for crimes, because corporate boss owners are elite leaders who have earned the right to be glorified. The utopian theory of ‘Free-market Capitalism’ is not desirable by fascists, because they needed to make laws to benefit their own cronies, and have their will obeyed by the ignorant masses. So competition for wealth should be restricted among the few successful enough to be plutocrats, and oligarchs hold the power.

“Fascism (/fashizum/) is a form of radical right-wing authoritarian ultra-nationalism characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition, and strong regimentation of society and the economy.” “Fascists believe that liberal democracy is obsolete, and regard the complete mobilization of society under a totalitarian one-party state as necessary to prepare a nation for armed conflict, and to respond effectively to economic difficulties.” Fascism has been criticized for being ideologically dishonest.” Wikipedia

Lying and changing rhetoric to suit situations is historically part of Fascism. When the Nazis turned on Italy, Italian Fascists denounced their allies by pointing out policy distinctions, despite the similarities of their Fascist ideologies. Nazis claimed to be Socialist only because it was popular, and they needed to compete with German Communists who had almost led a successful Marxist revolution after WW1. This is in keeping with the common sense notion that “all politicians lie”, and when militaries support lying politicians who do not really care about human rights it has resulted in totalitarian governments who use false labels like ‘Capitalist’, ‘Communist’, or ‘Socialist’; while restricting the best aspects of those utopian theories. Fascism embraced the deceitful greedy flaws in politics, as part of their justification for totalitarianism (militant nationalism).

The definition of Fascism during the post-modern period is best explained by Neo-Nazis and the US military. Our military (which is paid under our government socialist tax program, and uses government communism to provide soldier base facilities) is fascist because it serves its own mega-corporate ‘contractors’ who control crony politicians legally by Capitol Congress lobbyists. Fascism has evolved to fit the new ‘Centrist’ leaders who may or may not want to use the titles depending on who they are around, in order to work within a larger complex political social system. This is similar to how Nazis took and held power, as Hitler wanted to control both left and right wings (even though Nazi theory is right-wing by objective definition). KKK members often say they are not racist in public for another example, so it is interesting how people define themselves (KKK is a racist fraternal group, that supports political fascists). It is not necessary to be racist to be fascist, but strict legal intolerance of all kinds is fundamental to fascism, as much as keeping a clean matching uniform and patriotic loyalty.

“In the so-called Business Plot in 1933, Major General Smedley Butler claimed that wealthy businessmen were plotting to create a fascist veterans’ organization and use it in a coup d’état to overthrow President of the United States Franklin D. Roosevelt. In 1934, Butler testified to the Special Committee on Un-American Activities (the “McCormackDickstein Committee”) on these claims. In the opinion of the committee, these allegations were credible. During the 1930s Virgil Effinger led the paramilitary Black Legion, a violent offshoot of the Ku Klux Klan that sought a revolution to establish fascism in the United States. Although responsible for a number of attacks, the Black Legion was very much a peripheral band of militants. More important were the Silver Legion of America, founded in 1933 by William Dudley Pelley, and the German American Bund, which emerged the same year from a number of older groups, including the Friends of New Germany and the Free Society of Teutonia. Both of these groups looked to Nazism for their inspiration. While these groups enjoyed some support, they were largely peripheral. Two more prominent leaders, Huey Long and Father Charles Coughlin, sparked concern among some on the left at the time. Coughlin, who publicly endorsed fascism to an extent that Long never did, was unable to become involved in active politics because of his status as a priest. Other fascists active in the US included the publisher Seward Collins, the broadcaster Robert Henry Best, the inventor Joe McWilliams and the writer Ezra Pound.

In 1966, Republican Senator Thomas Kuchel said of the Conservative movement, “A fanatical neo-fascist political cult in the GOP, driven by a strange mixture of corrosive hatred and sickening fear, who are recklessly determined to either control our party, or destroy it.” In the view of philosopher Jason Stanleywhite supremacy in the United States is an example of the fascist politics of hierarchy, in that it “demands and implies a perpetual hierarchy” in which whites dominate and control non-whites.”  – Wikipedia

The term “fascist” has been used as a pejorative, regarding varying movements across the far right of the political spectrum. George Orwell wrote in 1944 that “the word ‘Fascism’ is almost entirely meaningless … almost any English person would accept ‘bully’ as a synonym for ‘Fascist'”.  – Wikipedia

Most Fascists (like Neo-Nazis, those that call themselves that, not just white power clubs or corporations) embrace the label accepting the negative associations with it; much like Satanists (who are often Atheist) embrace the symbolic darkness and pageantry (Paganism) against authority (Christianity) that comes with their term. When they call themselves ‘Fascist’ it is in opposition to the establishment which projects itself as the opposite, but members of the movement or group insist that others are false. This label issue is one of the problems of ‘belief’ theories and systems in general. The more i research the more this satire play becomes clear, whether they use the rhetoric of calls to violence, actual racism; or they are saying they are against the popular definition and in favor of a more right-wing Marxism that would somehow be different than what Hitler and Mussolini or Stalin actually did; they are rebels crying out to say they deserve more under Capitalism. Perhaps that is what Fascism always was, even more than Marxism, just a bunch of ideas from other ideologies, different enough to make change. The theory of Fascism is like Communism under Stalin, because there was no attempts at real democracy and they wanted their own way through violence. In the end it is hard to get around the ‘might makes right’ idea with Fascist theory. Violent nationalism seems core, and everything else can come or go as subservient fashion with fascism.

The post-modern study of ‘Relativity’ was not invented, it seems to be an inherent aspect of reality that has always existed (as dualities or pantheons in religion). Perhaps this is why Einstein’s modern general theory has held up over the decades; as physics theories and laws are part of reality as much as communication and culture, although science tries to be more objective. Moral and Linguistic relativism result in confusion in societies due to differences in perspectives regarding definitions and attitudes towards power, culture, and life. Fascism and Capitalism, Despotism and Democracy, and every other political socio-economic movement or system label has this ‘them and us’ problem of identity. Another specific problem of Fascist theory is what people think is the difference between ‘corporatism’ and ‘capitalism’, if there can be a clear distinction in a Capitalist world economy (even when corporatists believe it just means group representation).

Examples:

The Fascist Manifesto of 1919, by De Ambris & Marinetti – “The Manifesto supported the creation of universal suffrage for both men and women (the latter being realized only partly in late 1925, with all opposition parties banned or disbanded); proportional representation on a regional basis; government representation through a corporatist system of ‘National Councils’ of experts, selected from professionals and trades-people, elected to represent and hold legislative power over their respective areas, including labour, industry, transportation, public health, communications, etc.; and the abolition of the Italian Senate.”  – Wikipedia

Benito Mussolini – “As dictator of Italy and founder of fascism, ‘Il Duce’ (The Leader) Mussolini inspired several totalitarian rulers such as Adolf HitlerA journalist and politician, Mussolini had been a leading member of the National Directorate of the Italian Socialist Party (PSI) from 1910 to 1914, but was expelled from the PSI for advocating military intervention in World War I, in opposition to the party’s stance on neutrality. Mussolini served in the Royal Italian Army during the war until he was wounded and discharged in 1917. Mussolini denounced the PSI, his views now centering on nationalism instead of socialism and later founded the fascist movement which came to oppose egalitarianism and class conflict, instead advocating “revolutionary nationalism” transcending class lines. Following the March on Rome in October 1922, Mussolini became the youngest Prime Minister in Italian history until the appointment of Matteo Renzi in February 2014. After removing all political opposition through his secret police and outlawing labor strikes, Mussolini and his followers consolidated their power through a series of laws that transformed the nation into a one-party dictatorship. Within five years, Mussolini had established dictatorial authority by both legal and extraordinary means and aspired to create a totalitarian state.”  – Wikipedia

American Nazi Party  [note the use of nationalist and socialist propaganda]

American Fascist Blackshirts  [note this group claims to be against democracy AND capitalism because those labels claim false pretense of virtue. This circular hypocrisy that comes with worshiping egotistical ‘will power’ is similar to the charms of Satanism, but as self destructive and void of ethics as the original Fascism. The attraction of this group is that they question politics and existing society philosophically just as Nietzsche and Marx did, while looking to the future for some hopeful promise of progress. They claim that fascists were historically misunderstood, and seem to ignore the violence and hypocrisy of their own historic infamous leaders (just as every ideology does to keep the movement going). This group has audio recordings that sound very Marxist regarding hatred of Capitalism, and yet very right-wing equating Capitalism with Liberalism.]

Facebook Fascist Page  [“The American Fascism Party is dedicated to creating a fascist utopia where corporations rule every facet of the American citizens’ lives. #COMA #AFPparty” note this may be run completely as a satire by an opponent to Fascism.]

“Italian Fascism involved a corporatist political system in which the economy was collectively managed by employers, workers and state officials by formal mechanisms at the national level. Its supporters claimed that corporatism could better recognize or “incorporate” every divergent interest into the state organically, unlike majority-rules democracy which they said could marginalize specific interests. This total consideration was the inspiration for their use of the term “totalitarian“, described without coercion (which is connotated in the modern meaning) in the 1932 Doctrine of Fascism as thus: “When brought within the orbit of the State, Fascism recognizes the real needs which gave rise to socialism and trade unionism, giving them due weight in the guild or corporative system in which divergent interests are coordinated and harmonized in the unity of the State. The state is not simply a mechanism which limits the sphere of the supposed liberties of the individual… Neither has the Fascist conception of authority anything in common with that of a police ridden State… Far from crushing the individual, the Fascist State multiplies his energies, just as in a regiment a soldier is not diminished but multiplied by the number of his fellow soldiers.”  – Wikipedia

A popular slogan of the Italian Fascists under Mussolini was “Tutto nello Stato, niente al di fuori dello Stato, nulla contro lo Stato” (“everything for the state, nothing outside the state, nothing against the state”).

The Capitalist corporatist (Catholic) state Salazar established in Portugal was very similar to fascism because it was nationalism. Salazar’s ‘Catholic corporatism’ was top down, and against all other ideologies except Capitalism and Christianity. Portugal remained neutral throughout World War II. Salazar also had a strong dislike of Marxism and liberalism. In 1933, Salazar stated: “Our Dictatorship clearly resembles a fascist dictatorship in the reinforcement of authority, in the war declared against certain principles of democracy, in its accentuated nationalist character, in its preoccupation of social order. However, it differs from it in its process of renovation. The fascist dictatorship tends towards a pagan Caesarism, towards a state that knows no limits of a legal or moral order, which marches towards its goal without meeting complications or obstacles. The Portuguese New State, on the contrary, cannot avoid, not think of avoiding, certain limits of a moral order which it may consider indispensable to maintain in favor of reforms”.

Environmental Populism

Green Populism and Socialism in Politics

For Victorian pre-world-war historic context (1800s) please study the rise of Capitalism, Marxism, and the writings of Charles Dickens to understand the reactions to industrial pollution and corruption. Real conversation about terms like ‘socialism’ and ‘environmental’ are way over-due in our corporate media world, and they are scared the truth will affect their cold war industry. The truth is while military corporations benefit from new ‘Berlin Walls’ both physical and psychological to feed the war machine selling arms to all sides, the truth will also come out if Sanders is allowed to debate Trump, and they know that. The only way corporations will allow a debate involving a real progressive populist (not fake like Trump) is if the people push them to do it. it is true that the old generation of corporatists will use the term socialist that Bernie embraces, and communism against him, but for those of us that see through it we want to come out of the closet and fight. when working people can actually understand the terms and know who fights for them, i think that will be the change.

The best leaders reflect popular causes for peace and populations as a whole. Gandhi, MLK, Sanders,,, I voted for Jill Stein as a politician reflection environmental protesters. The main environmentalists in politics currently are Democratic Socialists (Social Democrats*) like Sanders, Gabbard, and AOC, they have taken up the Green Party progressive mantle with the Green New Deal and are serious because they fight the MIC corporate cronies. Personal habits which are part of micro-trends do affect systemic change when they reach critical popular mass and directly affect the laws we make the way we conduct business; but it is not just bottom up, because top down also happens like how federal laws arrest people for pot; so more people catch on to something popular when it is also legally supported, like recycling for example. The more government supports recycling, the more people would do it and the more businesses would help people to do it.

One of the hardest things is to explain main-stream corporate and popular propaganda to people who have a million other things to do; but that should be the job of an ‘honest politician’ (a term considered an oxymoron). People should actually know what cultural terms are affecting the World, like ‘progress’, and how their own lives are affected by who they allow to be in charge, either by their activism or by their apathy.

What most conventional corporate party members do not understand about new Progressive Populism, is that it includes people on both the left and the right; thus Trump’s lies resonated, and they said they would have voted for Sanders but not Hillary. Progressive populists are for the Green New Deal and Universal Health Care and against the elites of the DNC and RNC. Some Populists are more conservative, but they want jobs and health care so they will vote for the candidate that convinces them they will give them security. Economist Mark Blyth contributed to a conference where experts in several fields unanimously concluded that our political paradigm will shift left and right, back and forth, but increasingly more towards Progressive Populism (AOC Green New Deal) where if successful it will lock into a new political structure.

The main climate change theory i will call the Scientific Climate Theory presented by the majority of scientists is that artificial CO2 and other man-made (in addition to natural) factors are primarily contributing to overall global warming, which causes climate change in various ways, sometimes temporarily cooling during warm seasons (which seems like a contradiction but is not because the overall trend is warming according to annual temperature averages). This consensus in Science is supported primarily by Centrist Left Wing and Radical Liberals politically, who believe that the time for debate is over and it should not be a political issue because it is true and not just an opinion.

The minority climate change theory i will call the Corporate Climate Theory, supported by extreme skeptics of science and government (deniers), is that environmentalists are lying about the data evidence to hide that most of it is naturally either being caused by Solar irregularities or Geo-tectonic magnetic seismic shifts and volcanic activity or both. This is the side that defends those totally uninterested or ignorant in climate science as well, who doubt there are any problems with pollution that can affect global conditions. One of the issues they bring up is that storm flooding (cold) and (heat) droughts are opposites, and should not both be results of global warming. This proposed paradox does not take into account the melting of the polar ice which raises sea level, and the chaos that can result from this regarding flooding and more severe storms, freak cooling periods in some areas, but overall prolonged intense heating of the global atmosphere. Minor theories are usually supported by Radical Right Wing Conservatives and Libertarians (Corporate Centrists tend to pay lip service and not want any action on it), who believe no one should interfere in the rights of corporations to pollute, and are currently dismantling the EPA, NPS, and other branches of the government under Trump.

So to summarize, both agree that there will be more severe climate chaos like weather that is out of season. The Scientific Climate Theory says that artificially caused CO2 pollution from industry and agriculture is mainly to blame, as it can clearly be shown to increase during the Industrial Age of civilization, and not anytime in human history before this. It does have some similarities to pre-historic massive volcanic periods, but other chemical evidence and current factors rule out volcanoes as the main cause in CO2 levels currently. The most extreme Corporate Climate Theory is our government is lying to us to hide that our Sun is growing closer or more intense; which can be debunked by talking to actual scientists who observe the Sun independent of the government, and that it would make no sense for the branches of the government like the EPA or NPS or Pentagon to give false support for environmentalists, because most of the government is controlled by Corporate interests, and they do not benefit by belief in environmentalism. Corporate Green-washing is not what interests people who care about quality of life for all animals and humans, nor the military who takes the threats of Climate Change seriously due to the causes of wars that are tied to natural conditions like resources, property, shelter, and all the economics related to environmental issues. The money being made by Scientists or environmentalists currently, still pales compared to the profits of fossil fuel polluters, so the theory of profit motive causing scientists to lie about climate data is bunk as well. The debate is over for rational thinkers, but the corporate socialism vs democratic socialism debate is just beginning for a world run and terrorized by capitalists.
