The Line Between Revolution and Conformity in Popular Culture

Artistic Commentary & Independent Value vs Commercial Success & Selling Out

When something becomes popular, it will have counter-cultural opposition which will challenge its status in culture. This ‘problem’ is a dichotomy inherent in culture as part of social dynamics. This paradox is how we can form authoritative conventions based on resisting authority, and base governments on violent revolution against government.

I made a musical remix of a pop song by a very progressive band, as a fan-fiction open-letter response to the singer basically. My version is worth nothing financially, but enough people were in on the jokes inherent in the theme that it got 5,000 plays within a year. The design was intentional on my part to evoke levels of post-modern humor, to play with fans and the band rather than try to compete for popularity or money. Some of the issues in the music include 1. selling-out means growing up, yet it feels soulless. and 2. placing all our value in money is a problem, rather than using memory to embrace positive aspects of nurturing compassion over individual profit at the expense of others. Without listing more, i mean there is alot going on there that is subconsciously infused in the music and lyrics; only accessible through the lullaby meditation of the chorus, which is hard to explain.

Green Day did that weave between pop culture and rebellion too… Pink Floyd (Mr Waters) is still doing that i hear. We want to walk the line, or at least be able to cross it. Most of us weave on one side and then the other, of all kinds of mixed issues regarding cultural conformity. I remember when i first heard green day it was live in person at a DC club. The Green Day sound i heard was the epitome of british punk, clearly made to sell as pop. I was disgusted when i compared it to bad religion, who they opened for, because to me Bad Religion had deeper content and a more unique sound (west-coast punk harmonies); but obviously Green Day was designed to sell out and it did. From the enthusiasm in the crowd, it was clear that they would soon be more popular than Bad Religion, and so it came to be with aggressive commercial marketing.

Again the irony is that our best examples of success walk the line between rebellion and conformity, or new originality and original oldies, or anarchy and establishment. When we are on one side of obvious rebellion, and then it becomes popular we soon find ourselves on the side of ultimate conformity. Metaphorically maybe that would be better described as massive swerves across the line, but our cultural perceptions are really interesting. It is not just music either, we see this dichotomy played out in political campaigns, and in literature, and in every field of study or practice. America is built on revolution. Revolution is part of our establishment.

One Faith To Rule Them All

Pagan & Christian Empire History

An essay on the radical problems of ‘one faith’ conservatism from Pagan Roman Empire to Christian Roman Catholic legacy which forms modern Capitalist Empire.

When the world was mostly Pagan, conservative (fundamentalist) radicals persecuted minor cults like Christians; then when Christianity became dominant they treated all other religions the way that Romans treated rebel cults (Barbarian mercenaries had become Christianized, but still sacked Rome and killed in the name of the Roman Catholic Church), due to force dominance ‘might is right’ theory so prevalent in Patriarchy. Oligarchical conservatives in any culture feed hatred of ‘the other’ with ‘we are the best’ nationalism or dogma. It is therefore up to the main-stream led by radical liberals to deconstruct the ‘change is bad’ narrative perpetually as progress is made between cultures due to marriages, migration, trade, and tourism. The most popular changes tend to become the new cultural norms, social conventions, and eventually laws (this is why liberals tend to like democracy, and conservatives prefer oligarchy).

Little is known historically for sure about Jesus and Peter. Saint Peter is said to have helped to found the early basilica congregations in Rome, but fires destroyed most evidence and records. Unlike most religions in the Roman Empire, Christianity required its adherents to renounce all other gods, a practice adopted from Judaism. This radical ‘my god is the only one for everyone’ syndrome that unifies for hierarchical monopoly is baked into Judaism and Christianity doctrine, and is dominant rather than more peaceful Pagan unity which would be ‘some of our gods are so similar, we might share the same universe with different names for different aspects’. Christian refusal to join pagan celebrations meant they were unable to participate in much of public life, which caused non-Christians–including government authorities–to fear that the Christians were angering the gods and thereby threatening the peace and prosperity of the Empire. In addition, the peculiar intimacy of Christian society and its secrecy about its religious practices spawned rumors that Christians were guilty of incest and cannibalism; the resulting persecutions, although usually local and sporadic, were a defining feature of Christian self-understanding. Most of the fanatical dogmatic oligarchy of formal Christianity did not come from Jesus or Peter, but Saint Paul who was not even an original disciple apostle, but a Roman Jewish ‘ICE Agent’ who arrested and persecuted Jewish-Christians, who ‘saw the light’ and now wanted to tell everyone how to be a Christian, and for his radical sedition became a state criminal and spent years under arrest for civil disobedience, mainly trying to Romanize Christians to increase conversions by minimizing Jewish rituals like circumcision. Later Roman Christianity became more based on Paul than on the more communal aspects of Jesus and his original disciples, which were lost in translation to the main-stream audience who conformed to the conventions of empire more than helping the poor.

A series of more centrally organized persecutions of Christians emerged after the ‘Great Fire’ of 64 which Nero blamed on Christians, and continued into the late 3rd century, when emperors decreed that the Empire’s military, political, and economic crises were caused by gods angry at the evil Christians who denied the official state religious power (they chose to ‘take a knee’). All residents were ordered to give sacrifices or be punished. Jews were exempted as long as they paid the Jewish Tax. Estimates of the number of Christians who were executed ranges from a few hundred to 50,000. Many fled or renounced their beliefs. Disagreements over what role, if any, these apostates should have in the Church led to the Donatist and Novatianist schisms.

Christianity spread throughout the early Roman Empire, despite persecutions due to conflicts with the pagan state religion. Emperor Constantine legalized the practice of Christianity in 313 (Edict of Milan), and it became the state religion in 380. Many Germanic barbarians (400-500 AD) had previously adopted Arian Christianity as Roman Mercenaries, eventually adopted Catholicism to ally themselves with the papacy and monasteries. By the time of Constantine, the state of apocalyptic expectation must have worn rather thin (every year after Christ was to be Armageddon). The imminent coming of Christ, expectation of the Last Day on this mortal sinful earth constituted radical social danger. The spirit schism of the old Jewish law being so widely separated from new Christian mysticism (including all the gnostic cults), “was not so very different from the Roman spirit itself” (Weil), with all the Roman sects and cults within the Pagan pantheon and the Republic vs Empire schism. Rome could come to terms with the Jewish-Christian God, perhaps because it fit with the uncompromising empire model which was needed to maintain taxation obedience, if not martial law.

One faith or state monopoly is too powerful for one entity to wield over all humanity, no matter how benevolent or wise they are. The artificial ‘ring’ of central authority must be broken, to allow for more democracy and at least better representation. The rebel fellowship that fights the power will be flawed, and when they take power in the vacuum of revolution, they must admit responsibility for the flaws and put themselves on trial by seeking council from those who want peace, love, and sharing the most.

Sunflowers are not afraid to look proudly into the sky at the Sun. We can handle the truth of our political reality, and take democratic responsibility. RISE UP children of the SUN!!! The sky is our limit. We have the right to grow organic gardens! We have the right to vote for who we want! We have the right to pursue our dreams!

The Federal ‘REAL ID’ program in Maryland is forcing every legal citizen to show additional proof they are not illegal, because they messed up, rather than do some research and only call in those that are suspected as illegal. In Nazi Germany they started with the Jews, but made every one live under martial law. The real terrorists are the ones perpetuating violence on a mass scale in the world for profit. Keep looking up beautiful sunflowers.

The World Wars gave national profits to corporations, while we killed each-other in other countries. To know why it happened, we should look at the corporations that profited, even on the losing sides of the world wars. I think Ike was talking about them when he mentioned the MIC. Our private prisons are like fascist concentration camps, because they profit from mass incarceration. Our fossil fuel companies control our politicians using lobbyists, denying our votes for green jobs and less pollution. We allow a few people to take our national wealth and use it against us.

For the sake of freedom, we should not give up hope. We should exercise the freedoms we still have, and push against those being taken away from us. Examine the cases, investigate news claims, and research history so that you can feel more confident you are acting on behalf of your own interests, and the greater good. Patriotism means defending the rights of the people, sometimes against the bosses. Many of us have already protested, boycotted, and participated in Our Revolution (The Peace Movement). Dare to hope, dream, and keep taking action in broad daylight!!!

2 Climate Change Theories

Scientific vs Corporate

The main climate change theory i will call the Scientific Climate Theory presented by the majority of scientists is that artificial CO2 and other man-made (in addition to natural) factors are primarily contributing to overall global warming, which causes climate change in various ways, sometimes temporarily cooling during warm seasons (which seems like a contradiction but is not because the overall trend is warming according to annual temperature averages). This consensus in Science is supported primarily by Centrist Left Wing and Radical Liberals politically, who believe that the time for debate is over and it should not be a political issue because it is true and not just an opinion.

The minority climate change theory i will call the Corporate Climate Theory, supported by extreme skeptics of science and government (deniers), is that environmentalists are lying about the data evidence to hide that most of it is naturally either being caused by Solar irregularities or Geo-tectonic magnetic seismic shifts and volcanic activity or both. This is the side that defends those totally uninterested or ignorant in climate science as well, who doubt there are any problems with pollution that can affect global conditions. One of the issues they bring up is that storm flooding (cold) and (heat) droughts are opposites, and should not both be results of global warming. This proposed paradox does not take into account the melting of the polar ice which raises sea level, and the chaos that can result from this regarding flooding and more severe storms, freak cooling periods in some areas, but overall prolonged intense heating of the global atmosphere. Minor theories are usually supported by Radical Right Wing Conservatives and Libertarians (Corporate Centrists tend to pay lip service and not want any action on it), who believe no one should interfere in the rights of corporations to pollute, and are currently dismantling the EPA, NPS, and other branches of the government under Trump.

So to summarize, both agree that there will be more severe climate chaos like weather that is out of season. The Scientific Climate Theory says that artificially caused CO2 pollution from industry and agriculture is mainly to blame, as it can clearly be shown to increase during the Industrial Age of civilization, and not anytime in human history before this. It does have some similarities to pre-historic massive volcanic periods, but other chemical evidence and current factors rule out volcanoes as the main cause in CO2 levels currently. The most extreme Corporate Climate Theory is our government is lying to us to hide that our Sun is growing closer or more intense; which can be debunked by talking to actual scientists who observe the Sun independent of the government, and that it would make no sense for the branches of the government like the EPA or NPS or Pentagon to give false support for environmentalists, because most of the government is controlled by Corporate interests, and they do not benefit by belief in environmentalism. Corporate Green-washing is not what interests people who care about quality of life for all animals and humans, nor the military who takes the threats of Climate Change seriously due to the causes of wars that are tied to natural conditions like resources, property, shelter, and all the economics related to environmental issues. The money being made by Scientists or environmentalists currently, still pales compared to the profits of fossil fuel polluters, so the theory of profit motive causing scientists to lie about climate data is bunk as well. The debate is over for rational thinkers, but the corporate socialism vs democratic socialism debate is just beginning for a world run and terrorized by capitalists.

SCOD Fallout 2020 Fictional Constitution

We the members of SCOD, In order to form a union, seek justice, provide protection, and promote welfare with the blessings of liberty; do ordain and establish this Constitution for our Sustainable Community for Organic Dwelling (SCOD).

We have a round table council of members who act as stewards whose main ranks are based on seniority, skill, duty, and popularity; but are mostly equal socially with basic rights with no king, president, or mayor. When requested we can appoint figure-head representatives and commissions relative to the negotiation or investigation needed. For absentee or abstained votes that result in a stalemate, the Council may select temporary members to cast a tie-breaking votes. Children can partake and have their own ‘kid councils’. Procedures may be conducted by any member who wishes to run a meeting, accepted by a majority, and any can propose voting at any time (needs a ‘second’), unless a temporary vote sustains more formal procedure.

The powers of SCOD council are to allocate functions, share information, to hold court meetings, to judicate group decisions, to write and enforce rules and rights, and to protect property, archives, and treasuries. Meetings should only be a frequent as is reasonable for the group.

to allocate functions – functional positions can be randomly addressed, rotate annually, or be held by vote for conducting: information; meetings; justice (defense); and preservation (architecture, archives, treasury).

to share information – Public bulletin boards, relay of messages, reminding of duties, and monitoring, notices, and reporting of general well-fare and council projects should be kept by a secretary. Also to keep libraries and appoint mentors (teachers) and journalists (reporters) for making general knowledge available in public lectures or archives.

to hold court meetings – SCOD council may act as a jury court for public or personal disputes, as best suits each case; or may appoint commission courts or temporary independent courts. When decisions affect people, those people should be present if possible to have a fair and open hearing.

judicate group decisions – Regular voting is to be conducted as democratically as possible, meaning direct and equal votes by all members within reason. A most neutral or wise judge may be appointed temporarily to run a case proceeding, but in most cases the council can act as a jury of judges for verdict and sentencing. Philosophy of fairness should be studied for justice.

to write and enforce rules and rights – Besides voting, SCOD council should record their decisions, and then be prepared for law enforcement and defense of member rights for the sake of justice and preservation. Basic human rights are: the right to life (air, food, drink), liberty (freedoms), and property (breathable air, shelter space, possessions); the right to have weapons and use martial arts for defense, including safe practice space; freedoms of action (work and travel) and expression (speech, art, writing, garb, dance). How to non-lethally arrest an infringing perpetrator who has infringed on the rights of others, presents a catch-22 hypocrisy that should be defined to maintain prisoner survival rights (life) if possible; while removing their liberty, property, and martial defense.

to protect property, archives, and treasuries – Preservation of landscape, architecture, archives, and treasury can be handled best by officers for each of these subjects, over-lapping with issues of justice and information. Financing should be kept conservative, in favor of savings interest income on loans and debt collection with collateral as a communal bank trust.

The potential of the constitution is only as good as the people that use it.

Peaceful Politics: Theory vs Policy

Posted in Cooperatives / Communities / Networks / Travels, Critical Commentary of Civilization, Economics, History, Philosophy, Politics, Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , on May 6, 2017 by Drogo

True Distinction of Left vs Right in Theory and Policy

Politics 101 – Left-wing goal is humanitarian freedom, Right-wing is totalitarian military. Both can act like each-other to defend themselves, but those are the ideologies. The definitions apply to people based on the majority of their actions, not just words.

The more violence, the more Right-Wing the actions are by proof of theory. True progressive Left-wing leaders have been Gandhi, Martin Luther King, and Noam Chomsky; all of which advocated non-violence as a primary and constant belief. The Left-wing leaders that deviate are considered less successful by history, because they competed using violence, which is vital to Right-wing theory. Remember, Classical-Liberals are for individual rights like American Libertarians; a concept with is Liberal and therefore Left-wing (corporations are not people).

Peace by social progress is Left Wing, Peace by military progress (War) is Right Wing. Despite labels, anytime Leftists use violence, they become part of a Right-wing game. I am talking about written theory and ideology in the pure form, not actual leaders or incarnations based on regimes. This was the fate of Communism and the reason why global 2-party systems do not really have a true Left wing today. Terminology gets confused, as no side is purely one or the other. True Left means love, civil rights, compassion, non-violence; but because people think Communist states were Left due to ideology that was barely addressed under totalitarianism…. the words are confusing. Non-violence is vital to Leftist theory, and when Leftists are violent, they play into ‘might is right’.

People who want to be on the Right today, seem to think Hitler was actually Socialist, aka Left, because of his party label. Hitler ran as a ‘National Socialist’; this does not mean he actually was Left-wing, or did anything in accordance with Left ideology; it means he was a demagogue liar that perpetuated militant totalitarianism and fascism under a false label. There is incredible double-speak in politics, and I am seeing it in comment sections more and more. One cannot slaughter thousands of citizens, rule by war, and provide public works for elite survivors and be true Leftist based on false platitudes. This strange lack of educated understanding of theory makes no sense, because neo-nazis are clearly the opposite of hippies; the two extremes of Right and Left in modern society. Hitler’s actions were mostly extreme Right-wing militant and fascist, while most hippies (except for violent punks) are extreme Left-wing pacifists. Major double-speak has been going on in the past few decades, and now under Trump. The confusion with the American Libertarian label has also perpetuated the bashing of the term ‘Liberal’ and now they are attempting to co-op it by claiming to be Patriotic like the founders, in their efforts to allow corporations and the 1% to rule us.

Similar issues with Stalin, ok we can say he and Lenin were Communist because they placed economics in control of their ‘State’ government, but the implementation of laws and results were clearly Right-Wing Totalitarian and not in keeping with Marxist ‘power to the people’ democratic-anarchist worker controlled theory, aka true Communism or Socialism.

Liberal non-violence is not as weak a position as war-hawks tend to portray it. Non-violent resistance to authoritarianism is different than extreme pure Pacifism. The best Left-wing leaders often make the distinction that they want to minimize violence, but self-defense can be justified as a rare exception to the rule, rather than a cause for frequent preemptive attacks. The main Left-wing tool is compassionate negotiation, and when that fails we use sanctions and ‘restraining orders’. The critique by the Right of this Left-wing peaceful tactic, is that peace allows Right-wing war-hawks to continue arming for war (Chamberlain’s failure to control Hitler’s aggression before WW2). This is of course the catch-22 problem of war justification, as I explained with diagrams in Operation 10 COW. It takes strong compassionate humanitarian leaders for societies to break out of the self-destructive war-monger paradigm. We rarely see Left-wing volunteers glorified because they are not financed by capital for obvious reasons; the main reason being that plutocrats who have most of the World’s wealth, and got most of their money from being part of the Military Industrial Complex (MIC) because it includes the largest corporations, now provides the funding for all major political leaders and propaganda on commercial media outlets.

Our government run by corporations seems to be playing ‘bad cop / good cop’ with us. Bait and Switch, give us the worst, then make us beg for the less worse. If we are not being with nature more than destroying it, we have to balance our system better. as an architect, i learned how our built environment could be more integrated with nature, and still achieve progress in technologies. I was largely unable to find enough clients to pursue those goals, and was blacklisted because of my environmental dedication. So now i practice where ever i am allowed to work on my own designs.

I am not a committed pacifist. I would not hold that it is under all imaginable circumstances wrong to use violence, even though use of violence is in some sense unjust. I believe that one has to estimate relative justices. But the use of violence and the creation of some degree of injustice can only be justified on the basis of the claim and the assessment-which always ought to be undertaken very, very seriously and with a good deal of skepticism that this violence is being exercised because a more just result is going to be achieved.” – Chomsky

‘Body of Secrets, Anatomy of the Ultra-Secret National Security Agency’; by James Bamford

1950s – “As the CIA report points out, human spies had effectively been put out of action.” Stringent security measures blunted traditional methods for spying. It was the age of American spy planes. In Georgetown, CIA Director Allen Dulles commuted to work. After emergency calls for a ‘Doomsday practice exercise’, helicopters carrying nearly 2-dozen senior NSA officials were flying south over Virginia. Their destination was a secret command center dug deep into Mount Weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains and built on a series of giant nuclear-shock-absorbing steel springs. Its code name was High Point, but politicians called it ‘the hide-out’.

1960s – Eisenhower had suggested creating a secret sabotage pretext to invade Cuba. The CIA & DoD created Operations Mongoose & Northwoods, which were secret plans to invade Cuba. They called for innocent Americans to be shot on the streets, refugee boats to be sunk, terrorism in cities, innocent people framed for bombings, planes hijacked, and tons of false evidence to blame on Castro. The Cuban debacle ‘Bay of Pigs’ was part of those plans, and actually launched a covert invasion to attack our own Naval base to incite war. Dulles mysteriously lied to Kennedy about the success potential of the operation, and so did others, and many soldiers were killed. NSA listened to their desperate dying pleas.

1970s – “Anything the NSA did is totally defensible” – Nixon

1980s – NSA instituted a dreaded unscheduled polygraph policy

1990s – “Thinking Machines Corporation delivered to NSA its first massively parallel computer – the Connection Machine CM-5 (Frostburg).”

2000s – Now they monitor all our communications.

Systems of Government and Economics

Posted in Critical Commentary of Civilization, Economics, Philosophy, Sustainability, Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , on November 28, 2015 by Drogo

There are some good systems of government and economics, but human failings can corrupt or ruin any system, as there is no perfection of any state in reality. Humans have misused cases of Communism as much as they have misused cases of Capitalism. You can argue that one system is better than another, but perpetuation of one system does not mean that it is successful; for example a king may rule for many years but that does not mean that they were good to their people. Jesus showed that Communism could be a wonderful thing, if limited by size and time; just as many business people may think Capitalism is good, while it most certainly hurts many people who cannot compete. Democracies can fall victim to mob rule of the ignorant masses, just as Republics can be controlled by Capitalist corporations as an Oligarchy and Plutocracy. Greedy and lazy and psychotic people will abuse any of these systems, but poor people have been working harder and spending more proportionately in taxes than rich people or big corporations.

international_institute_for_strategic_studies

In 2017 the Military Industrial Complex (MIC) backed by our President is cutting funding for all humanitarian or ethical agencies, and pumping 50 billion more into the military. America spends over 600 Billion annually on the military budget, while all other countries spend under 200 billion, and most under 100 billion if they even have that much money (international economic budget statistics according to the IISS). The IISS is the ‘International Institute for Strategic Studies’; “a British research institute founded in 1958 for international affairs. Since 1997 its headquarters have been in London, England. The 2013 ‘Global Go To Think Tank Index’ ranked IISS as the ninth-best think tank worldwide” (Wiki). We spend more on ‘health care’ than military, but half the country is poor, and can barely afford the basic costs of living including health insurance. Our government does not work well for most of its population.

SCOD is developing an overall master plan for micro-economics between friends for communities, that can apply and be integrated with the larger existing economy. Surviving and thriving within our means should be our fundamental right to work in life. We should be allowed to survive by having our basic access needs met, in an organic environment aided by group systems, to be able to be self-sufficient; regardless of any desire for more wealth or other work. There will always be lazy and greedy people, but for the majority who are reasonable with the means to be rational, they can be who they are and do what they want without ruining a fair economic model for all. We know that the new economic model cannot be ruled by plutocrats, oligarchs, tyrants, or despots of any kind, even those claiming to be ‘representatives’. Ancient Greece exposed the deadly flaws of democracy when they put Socrates to death, so there must be constant reminders of the worst human tendencies of mobs, and laws that respect civil rights that value life. This is the middle-ground between the existing Patriarchal plutocracy dominated by aggression, and the future Matriarchal utopia of an almost moneyless system based on right to life, right to work, and equal rights for ‘We the People’. This means having natural renewable resources freely available for all.

People value what they want, but dont reach out to others who they dont think they want anything from. It is a natural problem that should be at least talked about more, as to how to value those that do not do what we want, or dont offer what we want, as many are not able to constantly adapt to what others want, because they recognize what they will be given in return is not always fair if they are generous and others are not. I think there is often a stalemate in these groups as to how to approach others. Differences in communication can cause huge problems when negotiating projects. If people can work out a friendly pattern of communication that works to solve complex problems before real tough issues come up, they should use all means necessary. We need to use many approaches; time banks, shared projects, CSA’s, Green Investments, etc.

rich-vs-poor

Rich vs Poor, the economic class game that ignores national wealth inequality and the value of human life. Economic models show that if the richest 1% would not be allowed to hoard the nation’s wealth, it would allow the poorest to be able to afford to live, and it would expand the middle class (Professor Mark Blyth, Brown University). Corporate profits are higher now than they ever were in recorded history (Robert Reich based on national statistics, accounting for inflation, since 1947, relative to percentage economy) ; Average Americans are not getting enough income to buy their products, so companies are buying their own stocks, like during the 1920s, you know…. just before the Stock Market Crash and Great Depression. The main argument against distributed wealth has always been war propaganda against Russia (Red Scare), which was really based on xenophobia, but it is American to believe we are ‘all created equal’ and ‘we the people’ get to decide in democracy.

“The $21 trillion figure may under-count the accounting errors in the system, as some plugs are both automated and unidentified. What’s clear is that the ubiquitous plugging and quantity of bad numbers in the Pentagon’s books are so massive that it will take a labor of the ages to untangle…. Taxpayers, in other words, are paying gargantuan sums to private accounting firms to write reports about how previous recommendations were ignored. It’s all a Catch-22 story about a country trapped in an endless cycle of avoidable financial disaster. Each time we try to fix leaks, we end up back where we started, staring at even bigger numerical representations of failure.” – RollingStone

Early American Rebellion After Independence

Posted in Critical Commentary of Civilization, History with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on November 8, 2012 by Drogo

After the American Revolution, there were a few patriots that continued to fight for freedom, even against their own newly formed government.

Shays’ Rebellion 1786-1787

Daniel Shays was one of the veteran leaders of this American armed uprising in Massachusetts. After the American Revolution many farmers, war veterans, and others fought against unfair taxes and debts imposed by the new American government. Their resistance was based on the very reasons for the War Against King George in the first place! Daniel Shays had been wounded in battle, left the military without pay, and came home to find himself in court for unpaid debts.

“I have been greatly abused, have been obliged to do more than my part in the war, been loaded with class rates, town rates, province rates, Continental rates and all rates … been pulled and hauled by sheriffs, constables and collectors, and had my cattle sold for less than they were worth … The great men are going to get all we have and I think it is time for us to rise and put a stop to it, and have no more courts, nor sheriffs, nor collectors nor lawyers.” –  a farmer, Plough Jogger

These rebels were vanquished by a merchant “government” backed militia, and the survivors were forced to submit, and subjected to punishments. Of the thousands involved, only a few dozen were killed or wounded directly by the fighting. Years later Shays died in poor obscurity.

“The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.”  – in response to Shays’ Rebellion, from a letter by Thomas Jefferson

“You talk, my good sir, of employing influence to appease the present tumults in Massachusetts. I know not where that influence is to be found, or, if attainable, that it would be a proper remedy for the disorders. Influence is not government. Let us have a government by which our lives, liberties, and properties will be secured, or let us know the worst at once.”  – in response to Shays’ Rebellion, from a letter by George Washington to Henry Lee

Whiskey Rebellion 1791

George Washington followed through with his conviction of having a strong American Military to quell internal revolution to the new Government. From now on our Government had laws and support to attack enemies “foreign and domestic”.

In 1791 President George Washington led federal and state militia to put down the Whiskey Rebellion in western Pennsylvania. Once again farmers were protesting taxes. Once again their right to bear arms in protest was met by the right of a military to bear arms on its own citizens.

Despite the fact that the Whiskey Rebellion was occurring in many states, the military action by George Washington killed the movement by threat of violence, without killing anyone. The early Republican Party under Jefferson was for farmers, and so the tax was later lifted (temporarily).

Roswell and Area 51 UFO Secrets

Posted in Critical Commentary of Civilization with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on May 18, 2011 by Drogo

Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) had been both imagined and seen by humans before the 1940’s (War of the Worlds book and radio). The Atomic Energy Commission was created in 1946 (from the Manhattan Project). In 1947 the US Military was searching for the Horten brothers, while Stalin and Truman were beginning the Cold War. The Hortens were Nazi scientists that had been working on a flying disc shaped aircraft. When the Hortens were found, they admitted that they had contact with Russia after WW2. The information about what happens next, remains classified (even now in 2011).

Roswell, New Mexico

In 1947 a UFO crashed in the farm fields of Roswell, New Mexico. 30 miles northwest of Roswell on the Foster Farm, foreman Mac Brazel found pieces of the UFO scattered on the ground. The Military may have been recovering the bulk of the UFO and bodies at the same time from the Barnett alien site, near Socorro.

After the remains were taken to the Roswell Base, they were transported to Edwards-Muroc Base, Fort Worth, and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. Perhaps the UFO was an alien craft. The Military first said it was a “flying disk”, then claimed it was just a weather balloon, then part of Operation Mogul (balloon rigged for spying).

Major Jesse Marcel was involved with the original debris recovery. In 1978 he expressed his belief that the military had covered up the recovery of an alien spacecraft.  In 1989 mortician Glenn Dennis claimed that alien autopsies were carried out at the Roswell Base.

Let’s say we don’t really believe the Government, and we don’t believe in aliens. If we reject both of those theories, then there are two other popular theories that seem to be more realistic and less naive. A middle path, which in many ways is less comforting than believing in aliens.

One middle theory is that it was a Russian flying disc, based on designs by Nazis working for Russia. The Hortens had developed the craft, and the pilots were products of the scientist Josef Mengele. Even our own Military had Nazi scientists working for us by that time (see Annie’s other book ‘Operation Paperclip’), so that is possible.

The second middle theory is that it was our UFO. There is evidence that we were also conducting UFO experiments with technology and human genetics. If this is true, there may be good reason that old information remains “Top Secret”. What horrid secrets are we still keeping from ourselves?

The wreckage from the UFO remained at military bases for 4 years. The Atomic Energy Commission controlled Area 51 in 1951 when they had the remains of the craft (including the child-sized pilots) brought there to Nevada.

Top Secret Military Base Area 51 in the Nevada Training Range

Area 51 sits inside a large government-controlled land parcel called the Nevada Training Range. The Range is over 4,600 square miles (could fit a few Rhode Islands in there). Also within the Nevada Training Range is the Nevada Test Site. In the same year that Area 51 got its name (1951) at the Test Site, 105 nuclear weapons were exploded above-ground and another 828 were exploded underground in tunnels and shafts. The last nuclear weapons test there was in 1992. The facility contains the largest amount of weapons-grade plutonium and uranium in the United States not secured inside a nuclear laboratory.

Area 51 is in the north-eastern corner of Nevada Training Range. There was an official Military investigation into UFO sightings. It was called Project Blue Book. There were also many projects that took place at Area 51. It is suspected that in thousands of pages of declassified memos and reports, the name Area 51 is often redacted, the only remaining evidence of which is black-out marks. Based on the information that is not blacked-out in the declassified memos, we know about: U‑2 spy plane, A‑12 Oxcart spy plane, Stealth Bomber, Stealth Fighter, etc…

*

“To understand how black projects began, and how they continue to function today, one must start with the creation of the atomic bomb. The men who ran the Manhattan Project wrote the rules about black operations. The atomic bomb was the mother of all black projects and it is the parent from which all black operations have sprung.” – Jacobsen

This information is based on years of individual research, The Roswell Incident (1980), UFO Crash at Roswell (1991), The Truth about the UFO Crash at Roswell (1994), and the new book by Annie Jacobsen for which she interviewed 74 individuals that had first hand experiences with the base, 32 of which lived and worked there.

Reasons Why Not To Trust Your Government

There are plenty of reasons not to trust governments of other countries, even the most brainwashed automaton would probably agree with that. “Ya can’t trust them Russskis!” etc etc … But have you ever wondered how much you can trust your own Government? And would it change the way you function in society if you started to believe that there are some major reasons not to trust your Government? Probably not. Most people are at least somewhat skeptical of politics in general, and they continue to work at factories, businesses, and live in standard conventional housing.

To believe in Conspiracy Theories is not necessarily the same thing as being insane, even though popular culture wants you to believe that it is crazy to think that things are planned by other people without your knowledge. In fact, things are planned all the time by other people without our knowledge. How can that be? Because we are limited in our ability to know everything in the Universe, and be able to know the “Truth” about all things, even if we know somethings.

1.  Conspiracy Theories are theories.

2. Conspiracies do actually happen constantly in reality.

3. Just because many Conspiracy Theories are false or exaggerated, does not mean that Conspiracies do not happen.

4. There are many actual Conspiracies that we will never know about.

Intentional or Unintentional Lies

False Statements Based on False Information

Nazi Dr. Josef Mengele

Even when our government does not lie, it can easily make false statements based on faulty evidence or mistakes. For years the Allies believed that the Nazi Josef Mengele “The Angel of Death” was dead. That was the reality according to the press, and so that was the truth. However, this was false. It was not the truth. The truth was Josef Mengele lived for 34 years in various countries, until his death in 1979. It wasn’t until 1992 that we found out the real truth through DNA evidence. He was aided by ODESSA (Secret Nazi post-War organization to aid fugitive SS Members).

Nazi Klaus Barbie

SS Gestapo Member “The Butcher of Lyon” was wanted for war crimes, however he was instead aided by the CIA. In 1947, Barbie became an agent for the 66th Detachment of the U.S. Army Counter Intelligence Corps (CIC). In 1951, he fled to Argentina with the help of U.S. intelligence services. He then emigrated to Bolivia, where he lived under the alias Klaus Altmann. He aided the CIA in the assassination of Che Guevara. Barbie took part in the “Cocaine Coup” of Luis Tejada, when the regime forced its way to power in Bolivia in 1980. It wasn’t until the 1980’s that Barbie was finally captured and put on trial in France.

You may hear failed and ignorant historians, politicians, or journalists trying to “debunk” all conspiracies as just “paranoid theories” because they cannot accept any other version of history except the one held by those that employ them. Try to be understanding of those with less understanding, and keep investigating and learning as much as you care to undertake and share.

Drogo’s Opinion of 9/11

Posted in Critical Commentary of Civilization, Politics with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on September 12, 2010 by Drogo

I am a supporting member of AE911Truth (Architects & Engineers).

I believe that 9/11 was an inside job. To what extent? I do not know.

I am not sure which Government officials helped plan it, if any. I suspect Rumsfeld, Bush, and of course Cheney. I think more officials were involved in allowing it to happen, due to obedience and complacency due to executive orders and administration policy.

I cannot believe that our entire defense system failed to stop planes that were clearly hijacked. I cannot believe that the Military, the FBI, and the CIA let the Towers and the Pentagon get hit using the highest levels of modern technology, and after there had been numerous warnings that Islamic Terrorists were going to try to do it years before.

In fact, the architects and engineers had designed the towers to withstand jumbo jets hitting them, that was according to structural guidelines and codes for modern multistory buildings. Buildings only have total catastrophic collapse at free fall when charges are placed deliberately; when buildings suffer major damage at other levels, pieces or parts fall outwards. (Masters degree in Architecture and Air Force Engineer).

There are far too many questions regarding the ‘official conspiracy theory’ to go into here.

How did the hijackers get into locked cockpits?

Why did the Airforce jets or Pentagon defense systems fail to react?

Why have I never seen a translation of Osama Bin Laden’s tapes?

Why did the FBI not put Osama Bin Laden on it’s list of ‘Most Wanted’?

Why was the Bush family connection to the Bin Ladens not investigated?

Why was no one fired for incompetence?

*

PBS Nova Doc ‘Spy Factory’ – “NSA was monitoring Bin Laden before 9/11” but for some reason the official 9/11 report did not investigate that lead…. another odd finding, this NOVA doc was funded by Koch & Exxon. Why would they want full disclosure about their global operations related to our government? It is not a ‘conspiracy theory’, it is a fact that our secret agencies knew more than we were told, and are being told. You can plainly see Exxon and Koch in the sponsor credits. The theme of that NOVA doc was to say the only reason they did not stop the attack was because the agencies were not communicating at any level, and never once does it mention that those agencies are paid billions to lie to the public.

It was clearly used as a False-Flag event for war-mongers to impose more authoritarian rule in America, and launch more offensive strikes internationally for the MIC. The event really happened, but it was blamed entirely on terrorists, and used as a pretense for a pre-planned War in Iraq. It saved a lame duck president, it gave him 2 terms, and complete authoritarian control. We were terrorized by our own government, even after the attacks.

Saudis have been inside our politics for decades, so if they had anything to do with 9/11 i think it is fair to logically say there was some insider politics going on with that attack, if we call insiders any spy that gives info from within a political partnership. Bush frickin held hands like a teen lover with them, and was still loving on them after it was known most of the 9/11 terrorists were Saudi. Amazing we are still doing arms deals with them, i admit it is unbelievable but also undeniable. Yeah it is a possible theory that leaders never give top-secret orders to attack other countries, sure.

To think that the MIC cares about who funds it is an interesting theory.

Maryland Budget Cuts = Drastic Library Layoffs

Maryland State Budget Cuts Public Services

County library workers in unions, pay more than $500 a year in dues. What have all those dues done for them? SHIT-ALL. That is the sum total effect that paying all those union dues has done for thousands of workers in 21st Century Maryland. Luxurious Legislators have waited until the State deficit is almost $800 million, before they decided to radically chop down the life-long careers of countless loyal State workers and their families.

Montgomery County Executive Dictator Isiah Leggett is calling for a reduction in government spending for the first time in more than 40 years. Regardless of political party, there is nothing “democratic” about his legacy. He spent all the County’s money on bullet-proofing his personal security, and a gold-leaf bathroom in his office. Now in his $4.3 billion budget Monday, he calls for cuts across the state, including libraries and other services. The plan also gives schools $137 million LESS than required by the state. Leggett is calling for an energy tax that would cost about $3 per month for the average household. He has called for a $62 million ambulance fee that was rejected by the county council in the past.

All of these drastic cuts are his attempts to address his own political follies that have aggregated into one of the largest budget deficits in the region. Leggett is proposing no pay increase for county employees. He would eliminate hundreds of currently filled jobs and impose 10 days of furloughs for non-public-safety employees. The overall job reduction amounts to well over 750 work years.

This massive reduction in much needed public service, is almost as bad as the General Assembly cuts to Baltimore’s highway aid from the state. The evidence is clear that the public demands more access to these services, yet the wrong decisions are made. There are many ways to cut budgets over a period of years, without forcing a mass exodus.

The future of civilization in Maryland does not look good. Already homeless and people without internet access clamor at the doors of the libraries. What will all those thousands of people do? Get a job with all these cuts? Yeah, right.

US Government Dodges Justice

Posted in Military with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on February 26, 2010 by Drogo

The US Government under Obama is ignoring the wrongs of the former political regime, just as our rulers have regarding injustices against American Indian Tribes and African Americans for hundreds of years. In this case it is the crimes of repeating offenses of torture and aggressive war, despite laws against the abuses of power. So soon do we forget our desire to stop Wars that allow the use of “uncivilized” methods; how soon the Geneva Convention and desire to never repeat quagmire wars like Vietnam are forgotten.

SCOD affiliate, Journalist John Perry strikes back against ignorance, again, in his recent video:

John Perry on War Crimes in 2010
