Pot Bib – Corn King Sparrow

Posted in Biographies, Nature Studies, Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on May 25, 2019 by Drogo

Last winter a loud male house sparrow spent most of his waking time sitting in the potted plant where we put small bits of corn. Other sparrows would come, but he would usually chase them out, and get into fights with other males (one time wounding him). We call male sparrows ‘bibs’ because of their black beard-like feathers, and birds that sit in pots for long hours we call ‘pot birds’ (it happens occasionally). So we named him Pot Bib, because he seemed to prefer sitting in the pot to all else.

Pot Bib’s first goal in life seemed to be to claim the pot as his home during the day, and at night he would sometimes sleep in a nearby abandoned robin’s nest. I had witnessed the robin’s nest getting raided by a crow, who looked for nests under gutter-down-spout corners in between balconies like that one. Pot Bib added grass to the nest, and slept in it for many early spring nights; so he could wake up and be right in the pot again. Starlings also raided the nest just for materials, and still Pot Bib would often sleep there, but also at another roost somewhere else. After a few weeks, Pot Bib lost interest in the nest as no mate wanted to risk the location probably.

Pot Bib’s second goal in life was to have a mate, and he did have a girl-friend who he allowed to eat corn, hang around, and chase him out of the pot. When the weather got warmer, Pot Bib got another life-style away from the pot; but still returns and chirps in his insane way every day.

I made a nest in a small wooden basket with a handle for Pot Bib on Easter (Ostara). In the basket I put mud half way up, then stuck in tiny twigs, wove in grasses and pine needles, and cushioned with chick-weed and yarrow. I thought that either Pot Bib or the house finches that come would take it, but our familiar mourning doves claimed it instead; but that is the story of Lucky the Dove.

American Patriot Tulsi Gabbard

American Patriot Congress-woman from Hawaii Tulsi Gabbard is fighting for citizen civil rights and environmental justice against the corporate MIC. Tulsi is a military veteran for peace. She wants to end perpetual wars and invasions by calling out corrupt liars at the highest levels, which would make us more secure for homeland defense. She also wants to legalize cannabis so veterans and civilians can have natural medicine that works for them, instead of making them criminals. She would make a great president.

Paliperidone Invega Epidemic

Posted in Medical with tags , , , , , , on August 23, 2017 by Drogo

Medical science does not recognize spiritual experiences or creativity; and the drugs that doctors give for schizophrenia do more harm than cannabis does, because Paliperidone hinders joy and sedates, while pot encourages peace and love at chemical and sociological levels. While sedation may be critical for dangerously insane people, for those who are not prone to violence Paliperidone seems to just make them zombies worse than lithium, where as pot is generally much weaker, and provides pain-relief, joy, and many other good effects. Also the state mandate in Canada and the USA for Paliperidone needle injections is an epidemic abuse by corporate cronies. Thousands and thousands of people are forced by law to get injected with a sedation zombie drug, sometimes aggressively forced by police, and stabbed by a needle against their will. Then they are told that a weaker more natural drug, cannabis, is somehow worse for them.

Cannabis naturally works with our brain chemistry better than manufactured drugs, because of years of evolution. It is no wonder that companies want to keep pot illegal, and say that it does nothing good, so they can sell their isolated fabricated stronger shit. Big Pharma is out of control.

Marijuana As Magic

Marijuana / Cannabis”Pot”: as a Legal Magical Medicine

Burning and inhaling, or cooking and eating Cannabis (aka Pot), is a psychoactive experience. Psychotropic drugs are still mysterious to science, as much as spiritual experiences or imagination. Spirituality or Creativity is a way of life for many of us. Another article can explain religious, or ritual magic use of cannabis, and I will try to write it and link an essay focused on that later.

Pot allows anger to rebound inside human brains, for long enough to dissipate substantially, or often simply transmute the negative to positive feelings, without even needing to vent hostility or commit aggressive acts. Pot is one of the best tools for anger management, because humans have evolved with cannabinoid receptors in our brains which allow for symbiotic harmony between us. This natural evolution with humans, is what sets it apart from other psychedelic medicines (although other natural drugs have different ways they evolved to affect our minds). Pot is enlightened magic, and here is a fictional account to explain how some of us think in creative metaphors about reality to explain what works for us to be happier people:

I have been chewing and smoking faery-mint since I was a teen-ager. I am now 40 years old writing this memoir, and I can honestly say the benefits for me are far greater than the side-effects. Peace-of-mind, connection to Nature, and broader creativity are the main short-term and (with experience) long term powers of faery-mint.

Faery-mint grew in harmony with faeries for thousands of years. So the plant affects our brains with mutual synergistic complementary symbiotic feelings. The negative effects include smoke resin, burn damage, loss of balance, loss of tension, loss of will-power; which for those suffering from excessive anger, burning desire, stress, paralyzing fear, and over-whelming self-motivated selfish will-power it is worth it.

There is a loss of short-term memory similar to the natural tendency to forget why we came into a room, or what we were talking about; however the increased joy and comfort to recall memories long-term, and short-term memory savvy when not intoxicated again win out. Experience can train its’ use, and with moderation it aids those of us with problems like anger management, insomnia from ptsd, and depression.

Some call it faery-weed, to demean its medicinal powers. Many people have addictive impulses, and they can get addicted to the higher powers of the plant; as much as with any powerful medicine. However I have never been addicted to any-substance to the point of committing crimes, hurting others, or wasting efforts to obtain it. I never purchased faery-mint at a goblin market during those 25 years until recently, as it is legal now in some faery realms. I never had to grow or purchase it, because it was popular enough that people have always just had it and shared it. Also I was not able to grow it because humans would come and rip it up, kill it, steal it, arrest me, and fine my family.”

– Harpers Faery Outlaws  (fantasy novel)

Pot is non-lethal natural medicine.

Pot & Paranoia

Sometimes medicine reduces anxiety, and sometimes it can amplify it. Perception of which occurs is behavior based, but internal thoughts can differ from physical action. This is why philosophy or psychology can be used to guide the process of psychiatric alterations.

Plant Pot Seeds – Write State Reps!

Posted in Legal / Laws, Organic Agriculture & Horticulture with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , on February 22, 2013 by Drogo

Intending fair use, here is a proposed letter to send to your state representatives:

“Never in modern history has there existed greater public support for ending the nation’s nearly century-long experiment with marijuana prohibition and replacing it with regulation. The historic votes on Election Day in Colorado and Washington – where, for the first time ever, a majority of voters decided at the ballot box to abolish cannabis prohibition – underscore this political reality.

The ongoing enforcement of cannabis prohibition financially burdens taxpayers, encroaches upon civil liberties, engenders disrespect for the law, impedes legitimate scientific research into the plant’s medicinal properties, and disproportionately impacts communities of color. Furthermore, the criminalization of cannabis simply doesn’t work.

Despite more than 70 years of federal marijuana prohibition, Americans’ consumption of and demand for cannabis is here to stay. It is time for state lawmakers to acknowledge this reality. It is time to stop ceding control of the marijuana market to untaxed criminal enterprises and it is time for lawmakers to impose common-sense regulations governing cannabis’ personal use by adults and licensing its production. A pragmatic regulatory framework that allows for limited, licensed production and sale of cannabis to adults – but restricts use among young people – best reduces the risks associated with its use or abuse. I encourage you to support our movement to regulate marijuana, not criminalize it. ”

“ok this is my blog what grind’s my gears

– by SFC Peter A Manuel United States Army Ret.

“Ok there has been a huge debate over medical marijuana ,well here is mine. I suffer from combat related PTSD i have been to a number of programs for this where they used both counseling and medication to try to help me with this, none of which worked at one time not to long ago the Veteran’s Administration had me on trazadone, seriquil, xanex, lisinopril, prozaserin, lithium, welabutron, and a number of other’s . the results were i still had nightmares, social anxiety, and hyper vigilance, hyper tension, and still had sleep issues and i still was in a great state of deprssion but what these med’s did do was cause me to gain weight my triglisrydes were high and so was my blood sugar and i lost all interest in the thing’s that i enjoyed to do and turned into a zombie.

So me being one to question and critically think i decided that i was going to do an experiment on myself b/c i figured i had been a lab rat for the VA, that what would it hurt at this point, so when i left the VA i stoped all med’s immediately, i went to a friend we will call him Cleidus and purchased some marijuana and started to smoke 3 small hit’s puff’s whatever you no what i mean in the morning and did the same around 9pm. I regimented this b/c of an article i read by an Israeli doctor and the result’s were i slept better my deprssion went away and lost all the weight i had gained and even my nightmare have decreased or i have none at all, so what i am saying is that for me this plant is a miracle drug that has not only helped me but may have saved my life , now i am not saying go get blazed up all day long well unless you have nothing to do; then well whatever floats your boat; but it has helped me and remember holistic is always better and prescibed drug’s only weaken your immune system. i am no longer on any medications.”

“And that’s what grinds my gear’s”
