Scientific vs Corporate

The main climate change theory i will call the Scientific Climate Theory presented by the majority of scientists is that artificial CO2 and other man-made (in addition to natural) factors are primarily contributing to overall global warming, which causes climate change in various ways, sometimes temporarily cooling during warm seasons (which seems like a contradiction but is not because the overall trend is warming according to annual temperature averages). This consensus in Science is supported primarily by Centrist Left Wing and Radical Liberals politically, who believe that the time for debate is over and it should not be a political issue because it is true and not just an opinion.

The minority climate change theory i will call the Corporate Climate Theory, supported by extreme skeptics of science and government (deniers), is that environmentalists are lying about the data evidence to hide that most of it is naturally either being caused by Solar irregularities or Geo-tectonic magnetic seismic shifts and volcanic activity or both. This is the side that defends those totally uninterested or ignorant in climate science as well, who doubt there are any problems with pollution that can affect global conditions. One of the issues they bring up is that storm flooding (cold) and (heat) droughts are opposites, and should not both be results of global warming. This proposed paradox does not take into account the melting of the polar ice which raises sea level, and the chaos that can result from this regarding flooding and more severe storms, freak cooling periods in some areas, but overall prolonged intense heating of the global atmosphere. Minor theories are usually supported by Radical Right Wing Conservatives and Libertarians (Corporate Centrists tend to pay lip service and not want any action on it), who believe no one should interfere in the rights of corporations to pollute, and are currently dismantling the EPA, NPS, and other branches of the government under Trump.

So to summarize, both agree that there will be more severe climate chaos like weather that is out of season. The Scientific Climate Theory says that artificially caused CO2 pollution from industry and agriculture is mainly to blame, as it can clearly be shown to increase during the Industrial Age of civilization, and not anytime in human history before this. It does have some similarities to pre-historic massive volcanic periods, but other chemical evidence and current factors rule out volcanoes as the main cause in CO2 levels currently. The most extreme Corporate Climate Theory is our government is lying to us to hide that our Sun is growing closer or more intense; which can be debunked by talking to actual scientists who observe the Sun independent of the government, and that it would make no sense for the branches of the government like the EPA or NPS or Pentagon to give false support for environmentalists, because most of the government is controlled by Corporate interests, and they do not benefit by belief in environmentalism. Corporate Green-washing is not what interests people who care about quality of life for all animals and humans, nor the military who takes the threats of Climate Change seriously due to the causes of wars that are tied to natural conditions like resources, property, shelter, and all the economics related to environmental issues. The money being made by Scientists or environmentalists currently, still pales compared to the profits of fossil fuel polluters, so the theory of profit motive causing scientists to lie about climate data is bunk as well. The debate is over for rational thinkers, but the corporate socialism vs democratic socialism debate is just beginning for a world run and terrorized by capitalists.

Why Would an Artist Architect write a book on Economics & Politics??

Posted in Alternative Architecture, Economics, Environmentalism, Organic Development, Philosophy, Politics, Sustainability, Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , on May 15, 2017 by Drogo

Wealth inequality is on the rise.

What does that mean for regular people?

Rising wealth inequality nationally means the rich are getting richer, more drastically than before; and the poor are getting poorer, which means they will soon have the rights of displaced Native Americans from 100 years ago. Imagine how that might affect minorities like many blacks and natives who already have the poverty of third-world countries, but are required to pay the fees of first-world plutocrats and corporate cronies?

Most of us are still feeling the Great Recession in our daily lives. The national economic ‘growth’ data that popular economists use, shows that after the corporate bail-outs sectors of our economy grew. Can you guess what percentage of the population benefited from that growth? About 1%.

Many of us middle-class people are losing our wealth when we try to sell our homes because of banker-real-estate fraud on the buyer’s behalf, devaluing old homes in areas of slow growth and using tax money to build new developments which makes a few rich while we get poorer without as many jobs, because money has been drained from the middle to go to the top.

I remember when I first noticed corporate take-over locally in the 1990’s when Walmarts began ‘out-competing’ all the mom-and-pop small family owned stores, and almost monopolized the market even for large franchise chains. Cable-companies made fortunes stringing wires around the country, into rural areas, competing with ‘WV state-flowers’ and antenna TV. Larger companies replaced smaller ones, every-where.

It is time to change the system, but it is not all or nothing. There are elements of alternative systems every-where in history, and around us in America today. If we do not have a right to live, our leaders do not have a right to rule, because they enforce the laws that make us unable to provide for ourselves, laws which we need to take responsibility to change.

Power for the people, and by the people is a constant struggle. ‘Power to the people’! We have to take the power back, from the plutocrats. Economics and politics are combined in America as a corrupt form of crony ‘State Capitalism’. No conspiracy or theory is needed to explain the reality of how corporations function, it is notoriously blatant and commonly accepted as ‘just the way things are’; so without defining every popular economic term that Madoff and Greenspan advocated, I will try to high-light the problems that affect most of us and propose solutions.

“People Power!!!” – AMM (Appalachian Mountain Militia)

I do not expect people to take my word as total truth. I want average people to get interested in how our system works, by helping them to feel that they can make a difference simply by beginning to question the establishment in intelligent ways. I am not a professional economist, I am studying finance as a hobby. For this book I am able to put forth theories by other economists, scientists, and philosophers; by rewording or quoting them. There are millions of people that disagree with my opinions, and I will not include all the information that a basic or advanced economic book would; but I will do my best to interpret and phrase jargon with references as best I can.

I designed and published SCOD Thesis in 1999 to address alternative ways to live. I was mocked by some students and professors for wanting to build a ‘commune’. It was considered absurd to be interested in village design that was not able to be financed by rich clients or the government, for ‘profit’.

I accepted the responsibility that I was a radical rebel, and system out-cast in college when I began to learn more about adult subjects, and got a clearer impression how the business world worked. My experience as a college graduate trying to ‘earn a living’ by selling myself to anyone willing to pay me, was even more discouraging and depressing.

As a drafting assistant, design partner, professor of architecture, and architectural adviser I was so in debt that any money I made had to go directly to pay debt bills, and did not allow me to save for the basics of middle-class property and personal benefit expectations that were promised to come to everyone that played by the rules of the system (higher education = more income). I found those platitudes to be hollow, even for many like me who wanted to find a life-long career within ‘good’ firms. Well it was clear the world for practicing architects was changing from what it had been. I did work with my father for years, and as partners we completed many designs and built many projects; however we made very little profit.

My father and I were successful designers, but that success did not transfer financially. Part of the reason capitalism did not work for us, was that many clients were poor, and even the rich wanted to save money. My father out of the kindness of his heart and joy to serve others, and enthusiasm for his craft, would charge fees that may have gone further during the 1970s. Combine low pay with the rise in cost of living, inflation, and this is why my mother had to support our family by working commercial retail at Walmart and teaching at schools; both jobs luckily she enjoyed as best she could. I worked many other jobs besides architecture, sometimes 5 jobs a month, and always actively found back-up jobs and projects that kept me busy. Despite only having one family car and very few luxuries for middle-class, we saw our wealth diminish no matter how hard we worked, and no matter how many clients we had.

I lived within my means, on the budget of a lower-class individual, while striving to serve the public as a middle-class citizen educated by ‘higher institutions of education’. I did not ‘drop-out’ of the system, the system was not interested in using me for the purpose that my education, psychology, and skill-set allowed. I still continue to live in this way, which I feel is the best I can do with what I have available to me.

I do not say these things to complain that my family suffered more than lower-class people, or disabled people (who can easily be disenfranchised by society and the system). I am not comparing how we lived to how other classes live, the point of being honest about my middle-class family experience is to show why I believe that alternative economic systems are important. I have always been interested in the definition of economics, and silly questions like “why do we say ‘trade & barter’ if those terms are synonyms?”. My favorite question as a child was “what makes a unit of something worth anything?”; or more humorously “can we just start using bottle caps or shells as money?”. I still think those types of questions are good.

Professionals whose public speeches, books, and conversations I have studied include Dr. Dean Baker, Prof. Noam Chomsky, Prof. Mark Blyth, Prof. Michael Hudson, politicians Bernie Sanders, Jill Stein, Jeremy Corbyn, and many others.

Regardless I think it is always good to hear that other people suffer from a type of economic exchange we could call the ‘oops I should have asked for more” syndrome. So I will try to include a few of those stories too for you. Enjoy the most boring theories you never thought might affect you, and keep on keepin’ on.

If I understand some economists correctly, they are saying we are living in a period like the 1920s when all growth was in the stock market; it was considered ‘capital gain’ but was really ‘striping assets’; which resulted in the Stock Market Crash and Great Depression. No pressure people.

Jeremy Corbyn in the Labor (Labour) Party in England, makes Bernie Sanders look like a centrist about public policies.

“For the many, not the few.” – Corbyn Labour party platform

“Our challenge to a rigged system, is bound to meet hostility. Change always involves taking on vested interests. The stakes are very high.” – Jeremy Corbyn, British Labour Party 2017

Great experimentation with individual and social action must take place now! I have been writing and publishing essays on Teaching, Colleges, Jobs, and systemic economic problems and solutions. In 2017 I am producing a series of recordings and essays on ‘SCOD Economics’. This Economic series includes interviews and biographies across disciplines, and intends to address both present injustices and futurist hopes.

We will discuss injustice within our educational and political system, that adversely affects people with alternative thoughts or theories that are not accepted by the conventional establishment corporate ideology frame-work that contains and controls most of the World. We are given their propaganda that “we can all have any job we want, so long as we try hard and get good grades”. Our reality based on my experience is more like “most of us can have at least a minimum-wage job with few benefits, for a limited amount of time, without job security, pathetic interest for savings accounts, the job we find may be against our own interests, and those who cannot get good grades or are bad at following orders get nothing and will probably end up in jail or homeless”. Despite these problems which I have personally witnessed and experienced, the final goal of the series is to plan for a better more sustainable tomorrow for future generations; even if the series conclusions are largely ignored within our life-times. Historic record has some worth.

From the book – SCOD Economics: Alternative Economic Theories

Economics affects everyone, even those that do not want to be concerned with money or finances. This book is a summary of alternative economic commentaries that emphasize democratic ethics. The Sustainable Cooperative for Organic Development believes in valuing human lives as responsible environmental stewards for our biosphere called Earth, and seeks ways to allow for biodiversity in civilization as well as the ecosystem. We believe in less monopolies, less corporate crony politics, less corruption in government, and more ways to support various ways of life and provide future generations with the ability to provide for themselves. Please let’s work together to leave something for the children that is worth inheriting.

Conspiracy Theories vs. Non-Conspiracy Attitude and the Trend of ‘Myth-Busting’

Posted in Critical Commentary of Civilization with tags , , , , , on June 23, 2011 by Drogo

I think it is dangerous to dismiss conspiracy theories all as lies, because history has shown conspiracies have existed often despite the ignorance of the contemporary public. Of course not every theory is correct entirely, but that is not the purpose of theories. Theories present ideas that may be uncomfortable to the established “reality” of the times, but are very important to the “truth of reality upon investigation and reflection”. Without theories we do not truly question anything.

Non-Conspiracy Acceptance of only the mass-media acknowledged “reality” is annoying to me, just as theories that disturb their perception of reality are annoying to them. Not all theories are true, just as not every issue in history is a conspiracy. However, there were plenty of plots in history that were conspiracies, which simply means they were planned by individuals. Planning for things in “secret” happens all the time by the way, all you have to have is a private discussion and arrive at mutually agreed goals.

Damage to contemporary collective reality is not a bad thing, when there are problems that are later “discovered” or “uncovered”. Without theories scientists and journalists would never ask important questions and investigate issues that are later proven: American Conspiracy for Revolution, Nazi conspiracies to gain power and rule the World, Bay of Pigs, Gulf of Tonkin, Watergate, etc). Many scientists and journalists pursued ideas, despite lack of evidence and often overwhelming opinions to the contrary that would have caused less dedicated investigators to cease exploration.

I think most intelligent people are sensible and go through phases of interest and non-interest in trying to understand the depths of what is going on around us, and to discover what has gone on in the past, possibly without our knowing about it.

(written in response to Professional Journalists dismissing all conspiracy theories, and therefore not investigating them; and the popular reaction trend to disprove or ‘myth-bust’ all theories that have not been approved by mass media.)

Roswell and Area 51 UFO Secrets

Posted in Critical Commentary of Civilization with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on May 18, 2011 by Drogo

Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) had been both imagined and seen by humans before the 1940’s (War of the Worlds book and radio). The Atomic Energy Commission was created in 1946 (from the Manhattan Project). In 1947 the US Military was searching for the Horten brothers, while Stalin and Truman were beginning the Cold War. The Hortens were Nazi scientists that had been working on a flying disc shaped aircraft. When the Hortens were found, they admitted that they had contact with Russia after WW2. The information about what happens next, remains classified (even now in 2011).

Roswell, New Mexico

In 1947 a UFO crashed in the farm fields of Roswell, New Mexico. 30 miles northwest of Roswell on the Foster Farm, foreman Mac Brazel found pieces of the UFO scattered on the ground. The Military may have been recovering the bulk of the UFO and bodies at the same time from the Barnett alien site, near Socorro.

After the remains were taken to the Roswell Base, they were transported to Edwards-Muroc Base, Fort Worth, and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. Perhaps the UFO was an alien craft. The Military first said it was a “flying disk”, then claimed it was just a weather balloon, then part of Operation Mogul (balloon rigged for spying).

Major Jesse Marcel was involved with the original debris recovery. In 1978 he expressed his belief that the military had covered up the recovery of an alien spacecraft.  In 1989 mortician Glenn Dennis claimed that alien autopsies were carried out at the Roswell Base.

Let’s say we don’t really believe the Government, and we don’t believe in aliens. If we reject both of those theories, then there are two other popular theories that seem to be more realistic and less naive. A middle path, which in many ways is less comforting than believing in aliens.

One middle theory is that it was a Russian flying disc, based on designs by Nazis working for Russia. The Hortens had developed the craft, and the pilots were products of the scientist Josef Mengele. Even our own Military had Nazi scientists working for us by that time, so that is possible.

The second middle theory is that it was our UFO. There is evidence that we were also conducting UFO experiments with technology and human genetics. If this is true, there may be good reason that old information remains “Top Secret”. What horrid secrets are we still keeping from ourselves?

The wreckage from the UFO remained at military bases for 4 years. The Atomic Energy Commission controlled Area 51 in 1951 when they had the remains of the craft (including the child-sized pilots) brought there to Nevada.

Top Secret Military Base Area 51 in the Nevada Training Range

Area 51 sits inside a large government-controlled land parcel called the Nevada Training Range. The Range is over 4,600 square miles (could fit a few Rhode Islands in there). Also within the Nevada Training Range is the Nevada Test Site. In the same year that Area 51 got its name (1951) at the Test Site, 105 nuclear weapons were exploded aboveground and another 828 were exploded underground in tunnels and shafts. The last nuclear weapons test there was in 1992. The facility contains the largest amount of weapons-grade plutonium and uranium in the United States not secured inside a nuclear laboratory.

Area 51 is in the north-eastern corner of Nevada Training Range. There was an official Military investigation into UFO sightings. It was called Project Blue Book. There were also many projects that took place at Area 51. It is suspected that in thousands of pages of declassified memos and reports, the name Area 51 is often redacted, the only remaining evidence of which is black-out marks. Based on the information that is not blacked-out in the declassified memos, we know about: U‑2 spy plane, A‑12 Oxcart spy plane, Stealth Bomber, Stealth Fighter, etc…

*

“To understand how black projects began, and how they continue to function today, one must start with the creation of the atomic bomb. The men who ran the Manhattan Project wrote the rules about black operations. The atomic bomb was the mother of all black projects and it is the parent from which all black operations have sprung.” – Jacobsen

This information is based on years of individual research, The Roswell Incident (1980), UFO Crash at Roswell (1991), The Truth about the UFO Crash at Roswell (1994), and the new book by Annie Jacobsen for which she interviewed 74 individuals that had first hand experiences with the base, 32 of which lived and worked there.

Death of Bin Laden

Osama Bin Laden is Dead 2011

Rumors of his Death will be confirmed by a Long Form Death Certificate… but what does it mean?

I am glad that Osama Bin Laden is dead. There, i admit it, now back to serious discussion as a patriot.

The news media said he took credit for it, but I never saw the supposed video where even a single translator says “I did it.” or even “We did it.” Its funny how many people never thought much about it, but i do remember thinking “there is a video”, like most people. The funniest thing is I have searched for years for the “video” where he says he did it! I have never seen a video with a proper translation even.

Even if he “took credit for it” without proof that he did so, our Justice system requires proof. Without evidence we could say that anyone said “they did it” and kill them without trial. I was in the Air Force, trust me when i say its easy to say “we know he did it”; its harder for us to imagine that the cia or black ops allowed it to happen, or that they even helped it to happen. With all the evidence of covert plots in history, its easier for me to question the official story more than believe that our talented heroes in the military could not shoot down the planes that were clearly on a suicide mission by the time they were near the cities.

In one famous video (cited in sources below), “Bin Laden” is talking in terms of dream prophesies and that 911 advanced their causes, and his causes, but im still looking for him even admitting it, as many people believe he did. Even if he did say “I did it”, many criminals take the credit for crimes they may or may not have done. In other words, you and i could sit around and say “we are glad about someone else killing someone” , but it doesnt mean we did it…

With no solid evidence to point to regarding exactly all the parties involved in planning and executing 911, no truth can be known or even claimed. The facts should not be kept as “Top Secret” when so many loved ones are at risk of being killed, or are killed. I was born in 1976, a Bi-centennial flag-waving baby. I was and have been extremely patriotic, even blindly and aggressively so. It is my ongoing quest for answers that led me to join the military, as my father did before me. Most people dont understand, ive been studying the details of 911 for years, beyond what mass media and those in power tell us. Im glad im not the only one i know that finds the whole experience disturbing… for years now. Yet it does seem he was an enemy of America, and did advocate killing us all, so i cant help but feel like celebrating anyway…

*

The FBI 10 Most Wanted did include Bin Laden, but said that he was wanted for other terrorist plots, not specifically 911 because they felt they did not have enough evidence. A prosecuting attorney on NPR said “we didn’t try to indict him for 911 because the charges already against him (bombing of the USS Cole, etc) were enough to get him the death penalty. So we felt it was a waste of time and resources to go through a grand jury process to also indict him for 911.” CIA case officer Baer said in 2008 “of course he’s dead”, and Prime Minister Bhutto said he was dead in 2007. So there was much confusion, and now some are eager to see the long form “death certificate”. I wish the mainstream media and government would cite their sources with follow up on this subject better! All i hear is “we know he did it” and “He said he did it in a video” none of which i have been able to verify with proof. It comes down to whether or not we trust our government, the cia, military, etc blindly.

Rational thought is not dead yet. As an Air Force veteran of the War on Terror, I believe more than ever now in the way of the peaceful warrior philosopher as responsible citizen. My sacrifice of serving, and experience earns me the right to question those in power, to make sure lives are not lost based on lies.

“Frankly the big surprise to me was that he was still alive at all. I’d figured he’d died anonymously early on and his continued existence was just a convenient fiction for both sides to continue the conflict, since he was never the point, …anyway. The American government needed a boogeyman and Al Qaeda needed a hero. While I don’t have much faith in this, I hope that his final removal from the equation will remove the reason to fight for at least some of the people on each side, so we can move on to more productive things than killing each other.” – Sima Ke

“Controlled demolition. Evey building fell in the same uniform fashion. Always will know it was a hoax for oil.” – Grayhood
