SCOD Theory & Interpretation

Philosophical problems of the individual and community – fear, doubt, shyness, anger, language, context, willingness, depression, possessiveness, annoyingness, drama

Drama – Drama can be considered ‘fake’ or an artificial production of emotion. It is better to express drama in a place where it is desired (theater), rather than in private life, as that often proves problematic to harmony and happiness. The word ‘drama’ is associated with acting, but a good actor brings out and expresses real emotions, and so real emotion and drama are not exclusive terms; but for the purposes of relationships, all emotional expression (real or fake) should be kept minimal for functionality, but given a modest due in when it is useful, such as empathy and therapy sessions.

Artistic Success

Posted in Crafts, Economics, Philosophy with tags , , , , , , , , on January 8, 2015 by Drogo

To an artist ‘success’ is always secondary to the inner need and desire to create. Even when artists are driven by desires to be rich and famous, determining their success is always an after-thought of hind-sight. The purpose of deciding what is successful is not just to apply award praise or sad regret, but more importantly such analysis concludes sustainable functionality or repetition of similar models. Insanity can be defined as repeating the same failed efforts again and again but expecting different results. To be sane we evaluate our efforts that work to achieve goals. Achievements are real success; however the problem with prioritizing success, is that inventors often fail over and over in order to innovate. This is why a practicing artist must push aside the ambiguity and hypocrisy of past and future labels and problems; and just be and do what they want. Artistic Success is part self-evaluation, part opinion of critics, and part completion of work itself; all of which matters less than our ‘will-to-make’.

Drum Circle Tips

Posted in Music Reviews, POB Audio with tags , , , , , , , , , , on May 28, 2014 by Drogo

Drum Circles do not have to be like formal music events. Drum circles are a unique form of organic musical gathering. For me this means 1. try to play with others. 2. if you cannot play with or follow others, either play your own thing, play soft as best you can, or stop playing. 3. if you need to talk, ask or suggest things respecting that just because you cannot play what someone else was playing, does not mean they were wrong.

* one common assumption in drumming is that it must always be “on beat” or straight robotic rhythm drumming. As i have said before, in drumming you can have breaks and transitions. There is no set time a drummer must drum a certain rhythm, in fact a drummer can hit a drum and never repeat or even have a pattern. Again, these are the differences between formal rigid drumming, and informal organic drumming.

As with songs, beats can change suddenly or organically to different tempos, rhythms, and individual pattern tones; and return to come full circle.

Art Evolution

Posted in Arts (Design & Performance) with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , on March 19, 2014 by Drogo

Everyone is an artist, just some realize it more than others. Art is any natural or artificial creation that is a design, whether intentional or not. Art needs no intention or viewer, and it does not matter what it is called; but the importance is in the contemplation of it, and conclusions it inspires.

To artists of all kinds, remember the folly of Metallica vs Napster and free your mind to flow with the evolution of the arts. Love and sharing should always come before hatred and snobbish stinginess. Relative “Quality” of the art is subjective, and in the arts is mostly opinion as it is not restricted to functionality. A trick of any trade is to be critical of the work of another, in order to make yourself look better. Some go to their grave never learning the lessons of Scrooge. Share your expressions with the World, and let others enjoy what you give or sell as they will. Most of the time you will be rewarded, and if any seek to hurt you despite your kindness, the hurt will fall back on them.

I have such a strong belief in an integrative transcendental theory of music, movies, and art, i am not sure i want to attend conventional shows anymore; to me the evolution of the arts is for people to fully support diverse artists as equals no matter how ‘talented’ or ‘successful’ the artists; and the artists must in turn consider the ‘fans’ as equals that can freely play with them, not just as observing members of their god-head cult who are unworthy to taint their ‘possessions’.

New Age Collaborative Art does require redefining terms, like changing ‘good quality’ to include collaborate improvisational spirit and skill relativism; and realizing that having skill should not be the same thing as being an exclusive snob ‘asshole’ or ‘dick’. It is fine to want to do your own art alone, or to want to make minimalist art solo; but that is very different than indulging egotism and selfishness as a demagogue or dictator. Modern art opened the definition of art to include the finger paintings of a child, mental patient, or even other animals; just as Philip Glass, Einsturzende Neubauten, and Nirvana opened the definition of popular music to include natural sounds, machine sounds, and otherwise ‘bad noises’.

I certainly feel possessive of ideas, things, and people often; but it i recognize it is often a source of social suffering when i do. Anger, hate, and isolation are natural feelings and actions; but we can decide how much we will allow from ourselves and others.

I was told all my life not to pursue a career in Art or Music because they dont make money; even my liberal artsy parents told me that… now after having died a few times and been reborn, i have a few things to say about that common statement. Popularity and Finances are only two aspects of the game called LIFE. First off we should not all strive to be Mega-stars who ‘make it big’ because the very concept is based on the framework of oligarchy and i do not want to encourage plutocracy. Secondly in an equal democracy of citizen artists we have the ability to schedule or freely live our own lives and walk out our doors without getting assaulted by pop-art-artsy (capitalist journalism). Thirdly i would rather live in a nut-house with no bills to pay, than not be able to draw or make noise.

Conspiracy Theories vs. Non-Conspiracy Attitude and the Trend of ‘Myth-Busting’

Posted in Critical Commentary of Civilization with tags , , , , , on June 23, 2011 by Drogo

I think it is dangerous to dismiss conspiracy theories all as lies, because history has shown conspiracies have existed often despite the ignorance of the contemporary public. Of course not every theory is correct entirely, but that is not the purpose of theories. Theories present ideas that may be uncomfortable to the established “reality” of the times, but are very important to the “truth of reality upon investigation and reflection”. Without theories we do not truly question anything.

Non-Conspiracy Acceptance of only the mass-media acknowledged “reality” is annoying to me, just as theories that disturb their perception of reality are annoying to them. Not all theories are true, just as not every issue in history is a conspiracy. However, there were plenty of plots in history that were conspiracies, which simply means they were planned by individuals. Planning for things in “secret” happens all the time by the way, all you have to have is a private discussion and arrive at mutually agreed goals.

Damage to contemporary collective reality is not a bad thing, when there are problems that are later “discovered” or “uncovered”. Without theories scientists and journalists would never ask important questions and investigate issues that are later proven: American Conspiracy for Revolution, Nazi conspiracies to gain power and rule the World, Bay of Pigs, Gulf of Tonkin, Watergate, etc). Many scientists and journalists pursued ideas, despite lack of evidence and often overwhelming opinions to the contrary that would have caused less dedicated investigators to cease exploration.

I think most intelligent people are sensible and go through phases of interest and non-interest in trying to understand the depths of what is going on around us, and to discover what has gone on in the past, possibly without our knowing about it.

(written in response to Professional Journalists dismissing all conspiracy theories, and therefore not investigating them; and the popular reaction trend to disprove or ‘myth-bust’ all theories that have not been approved by mass media.)

Roswell and Area 51 UFO Secrets

Posted in Critical Commentary of Civilization with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on May 18, 2011 by Drogo

Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) had been both imagined and seen by humans before the 1940’s (War of the Worlds book and radio). The Atomic Energy Commission was created in 1946 (from the Manhattan Project). In 1947 the US Military was searching for the Horten brothers, while Stalin and Truman were beginning the Cold War. The Hortens were Nazi scientists that had been working on a flying disc shaped aircraft. When the Hortens were found, they admitted that they had contact with Russia after WW2. The information about what happens next, remains classified (even now in 2011).

Roswell, New Mexico

In 1947 a UFO crashed in the farm fields of Roswell, New Mexico. 30 miles northwest of Roswell on the Foster Farm, foreman Mac Brazel found pieces of the UFO scattered on the ground. The Military may have been recovering the bulk of the UFO and bodies at the same time from the Barnett alien site, near Socorro.

After the remains were taken to the Roswell Base, they were transported to Edwards-Muroc Base, Fort Worth, and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. Perhaps the UFO was an alien craft. The Military first said it was a “flying disk”, then claimed it was just a weather balloon, then part of Operation Mogul (balloon rigged for spying).

Major Jesse Marcel was involved with the original debris recovery. In 1978 he expressed his belief that the military had covered up the recovery of an alien spacecraft.  In 1989 mortician Glenn Dennis claimed that alien autopsies were carried out at the Roswell Base.

Let’s say we don’t really believe the Government, and we don’t believe in aliens. If we reject both of those theories, then there are two other popular theories that seem to be more realistic and less naive. A middle path, which in many ways is less comforting than believing in aliens.

One middle theory is that it was a Russian flying disc, based on designs by Nazis working for Russia. The Hortens had developed the craft, and the pilots were products of the scientist Josef Mengele. Even our own Military had Nazi scientists working for us by that time, so that is possible.

The second middle theory is that it was our UFO. There is evidence that we were also conducting UFO experiments with technology and human genetics. If this is true, there may be good reason that old information remains “Top Secret”. What horrid secrets are we still keeping from ourselves?

The wreckage from the UFO remained at military bases for 4 years. The Atomic Energy Commission controlled Area 51 in 1951 when they had the remains of the craft (including the child-sized pilots) brought there to Nevada.

Top Secret Military Base Area 51 in the Nevada Training Range

Area 51 sits inside a large government-controlled land parcel called the Nevada Training Range. The Range is over 4,600 square miles (could fit a few Rhode Islands in there). Also within the Nevada Training Range is the Nevada Test Site. In the same year that Area 51 got its name (1951) at the Test Site, 105 nuclear weapons were exploded aboveground and another 828 were exploded underground in tunnels and shafts. The last nuclear weapons test there was in 1992. The facility contains the largest amount of weapons-grade plutonium and uranium in the United States not secured inside a nuclear laboratory.

Area 51 is in the north-eastern corner of Nevada Training Range. There was an official Military investigation into UFO sightings. It was called Project Blue Book. There were also many projects that took place at Area 51. It is suspected that in thousands of pages of declassified memos and reports, the name Area 51 is often redacted, the only remaining evidence of which is black-out marks. Based on the information that is not blacked-out in the declassified memos, we know about: U‑2 spy plane, A‑12 Oxcart spy plane, Stealth Bomber, Stealth Fighter, etc…

“To understand how black projects began, and how they continue to function today, one must start with the creation of the atomic bomb. The men who ran the Manhattan Project wrote the rules about black operations. The atomic bomb was the mother of all black projects and it is the parent from which all black operations have sprung.” – Jacobsen

This information is based on years of individual research, The Roswell Incident (1980), UFO Crash at Roswell (1991), The Truth about the UFO Crash at Roswell (1994), and the new book by Annie Jacobsen for which she interviewed 74 individuals that had first hand experiences with the base, 32 of which lived and worked there.

Death of Bin Laden

Osama Bin Laden is Dead 2011

Rumors of his Death will be confirmed by a Long Form Death Certificate… but what does it mean?

I am glad that Osama Bin Laden is dead. There, i admit it, now back to serious discussion as a patriot.

The news media said he took credit for it, but I never saw the supposed video where even a single translator says “I did it.” or even “We did it.” Its funny how many people never thought much about it, but i do remember thinking “there is a video”, like most people. The funniest thing is I have searched for years for the “video” where he says he did it! I have never seen a video with a proper translation even.

Even if he “took credit for it” without proof that he did so, our Justice system requires proof. Without evidence we could say that anyone said “they did it” and kill them without trial. I was in the Air Force, trust me when i say its easy to say “we know he did it”; its harder for us to imagine that the cia or black ops allowed it to happen, or that they even helped it to happen. With all the evidence of covert plots in history, its easier for me to question the official story more than believe that our talented heroes in the military could not shoot down the planes that were clearly on a suicide mission by the time they were near the cities.

In one famous video (cited in sources below), “Bin Laden” is talking in terms of dream prophesies and that 911 advanced their causes, and his causes, but im still looking for him even admitting it, as many people believe he did. Even if he did say “I did it”, many criminals take the credit for crimes they may or may not have done. In other words, you and i could sit around and say “we are glad about someone else killing someone” , but it doesnt mean we did it…

With no solid evidence to point to regarding exactly all the parties involved in planning and executing 911, no truth can be known or even claimed. The facts should not be kept as “Top Secret” when so many loved ones are at risk of being killed, or are killed. I was born in 1976, a Bi-centennial flag-waving baby. I was and have been extremely patriotic, even blindly and aggressively so. It is my ongoing quest for answers that led me to join the military, as my father did before me. Most people dont understand, ive been studying the details of 911 for years, beyond what mass media and those in power tell us. Im glad im not the only one i know that finds the whole experience disturbing… for years now. Yet it does seem he was an enemy of America, and did advocate killing us all, so i cant help but feel like celebrating anyway…

The FBI 10 Most Wanted did include Bin Laden, but said that he was wanted for other terrorist plots, not specifically 911 because they felt they did not have enough evidence. A prosecuting attorney on NPR said “we didn’t try to indict him for 911 because the charges already against him (bombing of the USS Cole, etc) were enough to get him the death penalty. So we felt it was a waste of time and resources to go through a grand jury process to also indict him for 911.” CIA case officer Baer said in 2008 “of course he’s dead”, and Prime Minister Bhutto said he was dead in 2007. So there was much confusion, and now some are eager to see the long form “death certificate”. I wish the mainstream media and government would cite their sources with follow up on this subject better! All i hear is “we know he did it” and “He said he did it in a video” none of which i have been able to verify with proof. It comes down to whether or not we trust our government, the cia, military, etc blindly.

Rational thought is not dead yet. As an Air Force veteran of the War on Terror, I believe more than ever now in the way of the peaceful warrior philosopher as responsible citizen. My sacrifice of serving, and experience earns me the right to question those in power, to make sure lives are not lost based on lies.

“Frankly the big surprise to me was that he was still alive at all. I’d figured he’d died anonymously early on and his continued existence was just a convenient fiction for both sides to continue the conflict, since he was never the point, …anyway. The American government needed a boogeyman and Al Qaeda needed a hero. While I don’t have much faith in this, I hope that his final removal from the equation will remove the reason to fight for at least some of the people on each side, so we can move on to more productive things than killing each other.” – Sima Ke
