“Buy and Hold” is why and how squeezes happen in most basic terms. In a short squeeze apes buy and hold, and own most of the stock, so hedge funds betting against the stock lose because they cannot bankrupt it, and when hedgies give up it causes a spike in the price of the stock (the squeeze being the opposite reaction to the draining they were doing). Allowing a stock to grow if people like the company is how a free market should function, so we are saving the stock market from vampires basically. We are the front lines of a democratic war to save capitalism, and this stock is already famous because of it. History will memorialize AMC & GME as leaders of a movement to give power back to the people.

Many of us AMC and GME apes want to make the stock market better for the future; not just by sharing the wealth of our nation, but by using social ethics to replace corruption. How long does a short squeeze take to happen? It depends on when you started holding and when the stock first was shorted heavily. AMC & GME spent at least 5 year being shorted by hedge funds. Both stocks spent about 1 years at a very low price close to bankruptcy. The apes that held during that period saved the company, and eventually led to at least gamma squeezes. Those squeeze spikes are closer to the actual value of the companies if they were not shorted. Squeeze spikes can last weeks or days, the majority of the time being middle price ranges between the highest and lowest prices.
Gamblers often lose because they dont have patience, and take the wrong risks. This is not gambling this is investing, because the odds are not as risky as the ones like the slot machines or lottery or strong drugs that addicts take. The AMC pattern is clear from the chart that buying and holding works to increase the price, despite all the rigging against it which makes it seem riskier than it is to own a great and compassionate company.

AMC Adam Aron pledged to donate $50,000 of his own money, matched by AMC, to the Dian Fossey Foundation to save wild gorillas in Africa.
